Is this a Glastron Moli 21 twin converted to KT power?

Yes, KT 6 is a converted twin outboard run out of the Nordskog Competition Center in Van Nuys, Ca. It was generally driven by Ted May. I've always thought it was the boat Johnny Sanders raced at the OWC in Havasu in 1969, but have no proof. Just a gut hunch because of Bob Nordskog's close relationship with OMC.

Yup.............you could also run any number you wanted to as long as the scorers knew which actual number to assign points to in the race results. Always thought that 4 digit numbers assigned in OPC category was rediculous. IOGP made us run single or two digit numbers for the sake of appearance. Always got reminded by Art Kennedy who the number 2 really belonged to.............Number situation with the APBA got really out of hand when owners / drivers who were not racing anymore were allowed to keep their numbers by just renewing their membership. Took an act of God just to get a 2 digit for OPC racing that was legit from the APBA. :(

That wouldn't explain the picture, 'Driver Earl Bentz' was painted on the boat which indicates that at some point it had been assigned to Earl. The race numbers are stick on numbers so they could be changed at any time. A batch of numbers, zero through nine, were kept in the parts truck.
A wild guess would be that Seebold damaged his boat before this race and the only hull available for him was one that had been previously raced by Bentz ..... stranger things have happened.

Bill was introduced as the 7 Litre driver of Long Gone--and impressed everyone with a 100 mph lap in the Jones--

Looks like Earl is driving, but I'm not sure. Don't remember them driving together at Parker, but that explanation is as good as any I can come up with.

Morgan City was 1972 .... Old Blue II running a C6, believe it was his 1st win.

I do remember Seebold told me his first company ride was with a co-driver named Woods and that Woods ran into someone (Nordskog maybe) shortly after getting behind the wheel. So Havasu 69 sounds right for his first Team drive and Parker 70 was next with the new APBA numbers. I think that was a 20' Jones.

I did a couple of races in the "mechanics" seat in those things. Hated it! With that big club lower unit buried in the water they had a habit of going sideways with no warning.

Sideways? Do you mean chine walk and then catch an edge? Can't be any worse than spinning out in a Sport C (LOL)

J Production class. Definitely at Marine Stadium. Those big Hydrostreams were popular in this class. Very forgiving and pretty easy to drive. I think the Allisons were faster but harder to drive well. Olegator ran one of the 15' Hydrostreams in JP. Very fast. Called it " Ragged but Right"
