Do your own research. But FYI the average price of a new car is $48,008. A Tesla Model 3 cost new $40,630. My neighbor paid $44,000 for his EV Blazer. I did NOT factor the tax credit. He will save $100's per month in gas. No oil changes and nearly zero maintenance. We save $2500 on gas savings a year on the Model S compared to other luxury cars getting 20 MPG city at best. Do the math EV's are getting affordable and way cheaper to drive. End of story. Buy one or don't. Makes no difference to me.

.
I think the first step is to test drive a tesla
the sales man will not go with you, that way you can concentrate on the vehicle

Fisker just filed for bankruptcy.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Maybe, until you have to work on it for some reason. Oh, who's paying for the tax incentives? Give you one guess. I'll go ahead & tell you, the tax payers. Fuk tax incentives on the dam EV's. You want one & wanna save the planet, pay full price & quit costing me money. RR

That is a shame. Competition and innovation and such.
I realize where energy from transportation is coming from, what is happening etc. I could give a rip if it is powered by ????????? I care about costs and reliability.
If tax incentives are needed to spur innovation in one sector while regulation is hindering the other.......I have questions.......

Yeah, & my property, sales, income tax etc will keep paying for the infrastructure. Dam more taxes for some new crap technology. The dam gov is getting more than enough now & need to make it work with what they're getting. If you ain't on board with that then we're done talking. RR

And we did not get to the used sales or disposal costs.
In my area I am OK financial. A lot of people are doing way worse, in better times. Most have never owned a new vehicle, some never in one. A lot of people would need upgrades to their electric to charge this car. Not sure if or how it can be done as most are living in trailers.
These are all legitimate reasons, concerns really. Good luck convincing people they have to float another tax break to people with more money then them, with an end result of no tax breaks left and now you have to buy........., something besides ice. Don't see an easy transition even without current financial burdens.

No, not for me. Completely the opposite. A test drive is how I decide to buy a toy. Costs are out the window and it is all about wheel time.
Transportation is cost and reliability. Those 2 are interchangeable. Looks respectable is 3rd off the top of my head. Still far from how it handles though.

Exactly. Enough is enough. When we're not trillions in debt & on the brink of collapse & when there's more ponies than riders then maybe the tax payer could afford & agree to incentivize. Until then, like I said if it's cool to you & you want one, then pay full price. For me, my old 93 yota pickup still gettin her done. RR
