Tesla Semi Image credit: u/TutriforSeveral Tesla Semi trucks are participating in a fascinating, new independent test study, and the electric truck is starting to prove itself.
The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) has started its new Run on Less program to test several electric trucks in real-world conditions and release the data in real time.
There are three new Tesla Semi trucks in the program this year, and the data for the first study has just been released.
Tesla Semi #1
Tesla Semi #2
Tesla Semi #3
We don’t know the loads or even when they were loaded and not loaded – though we can get an idea from the graphs – but the Tesla Semi trucks were able to travel between 376 and 545 miles on the first day.
Electrek’s Take
This is exciting data giving us one of the best looks into a class 8 electric semi truck to date. We will keep tracking the data over the next 17 days in order to release a more comprehensible look at the Tesla Semi – and the first supervised by a third party.
While we are still early in the Tesla Semi production program, this is a good chance for the truck to prove itself against naysayers who didn’t believe BEV class 8 trucks would be possible – looking at you Bill Gates.

Electric boats under load all of the time and electric pickups pulling trailers is not realistic for everyday use. No range. Now EV cars are great. My wife Tesla Model S is one of the nicest, best riding, quiet, fastest cars we have ever owned. It is not the Plaid just a lowly 100D that will keep up to my C8 Corvette. Went for my first ride in a Plaid. OMG is that car fast. 0-60 in 1.99. The power is instant and AWD with no tire spin. You best have your head back in the headrest as it launches really hard.

Ya gotta be a special kind of stupid to want a POS EV to drive ...
Republicans on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee are probing Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm over her recent electric vehicle (EV) road trip where police were called on her and her team.
Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and Oversight Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs Chairman Pat Fallon, R-Texas, informed Granholm in a letter Tuesday morning that they were investigating the June road trip which they said was aimed to "boost the charade of the effectiveness of green energy."
"This taxpayer-funded publicity stunt illustrates yet again how out of touch the Biden Administration is with the consequences of policies it has unleashed on everyday Americans," Comer and Fallon wrote to Granholm.
"Committee Republicans remain committed to preserving freedoms like vehicle consumer choice in the face of an unproven, burdensome, and expensive Biden Administration push to force all Americans to buy EVs," they continued. "We request documents and information to understand the purposes, costs, and consequences of your summer 2023 EV road trip."
GOP REP CALLS FOR IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY INTO BIDEN ENERGY SECRETARY GRANHOLM: 'SHE LIED, UNDER OATH'
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm's team caused the incident during Granholm's road trip in June promoting President Biden's climate agenda.
Earlier this month, reports surfaced that, during Granholm's four-day EV road trip from North Carolina to Tennessee, Energy Department staffers used a car with an internal combustion engine to block off an EV charger for the secretary outside a Walmart in Grovetown, Georgia.

One family, angered that they were forced by a gas-powered vehicle to wait to use a charger, ultimately called the police to report the incident.
BIDEN ENERGY SECRETARY REVEALS STOCK OWNERSHIP OF EV LOBBY GROUP FOUNDING COMPANY
"I'm calling because I'm in the Grovetown Walmart at the charging station and there's literally a non-electric car that is taking up a space and said they're holding the space for somebody else," the woman who made the 911 call told a police dispatcher in a recording obtained by Fox News Digital. "And it's holding up a whole bunch of people who need to charge their cars."

"There are other people who are waiting to charge and they're still here and they're not in electric cars," the woman continued. "The sign says you can't park here unless you're charging."
The dispatcher then informed the woman that a deputy was on the way to handle the situation. While a police officer eventually responded to the incident, a police report was never filed. The incident was first reported by NPR which joined Granholm on the trip. According to the report, Granholm's office organized the trip to "draw attention to the billions of dollars the White House is pouring into green energy and clean cars."
GOP OPENS INVESTIGATION INTO BIDEN ADMIN FOR OBSTRUCTING US ENERGY PRODUCERS WITH 'RADICAL ECO-AGENDA'
While Granholm's team planned the trip far in advance to prepare for charging stops, the Georgia stop underscored logistical issues that continue to face zero-emissions cars which Granholm, President Biden and Democratic-led states are aggressively pushing.
After she was pressed on the incident during a House Science and Technology Committee hearing on Sept. 14, Granholm explained the incident occurred as a result of "poor judgment on the part of the team," sidestepping blame.
President Biden previously set a goal of ensuring 50% of car purchases are electric by 2030.
"Your fleet of EVs could not complete the trip without the support of the fossil fuel industry which you and the Biden Administration have been intent to vilify and destroy," Comer and Fallon continued in their letter Tuesday. "Traveling from Charlotte, North Carolina to Memphis, Tennessee, you encountered significant EV implementation hurdles."
"You and your staff did not even make serious, practical decisions on the EV vehicles chosen for the road trip."
The Department of Energy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Brandon administration and NPR news are just bold faced liars. EV'S will kill our economy. And our freedom to travel.

That road trip was really a great Idea, because It enlighten the ones passing the laws that much work needs to be done,
Infrastucture has a way to go, Tesla TOLD the first buyers of there cars that the price of the cars had to be high because the need to build an infrastucture to support the cars use, my brother who bragged about his 140 something IQ as a youngster, he's now 78, almost seven years ago he paid $108,000. for his S twin motor, Chaz most early buyers were very weathly and very intelligent, they understood all the limitations.
Tesla now has over 50,000 charging stations built, I just noticed 10 new chargers in a little shoping center in Naples, you will see more and more of them, the cool thing is they just install chargers in front of existing parking spaces, usually by fast food, convenient stores or shopping centers, with all the wiring underground, the charging times for the new solid state battries will be in the 10 to 15 min range to fully charge a low battery,
Five years from now you will see a night and day difference.
I do agree, No one should say they have to drive a EV, can't sell gas, that is total BS,

Oh, wise one, thank you for all your helpful information about EV's. It is good to know we made a serious mistake buying a car that gets the equivalent of 150 mpg (last month cost $40 for electricity to drive 1500 miles), is a large luxury sedan, power of a corvette, almost zero maintenance and looks fantastic. I intend to trade it in for old pickup truck that gets 17 mpg and rides like crap. I will admit you are good for a few laughs.

I would have some quistion marks about maintaince!
Yes no rods through the side, or burnt valves
But having read about electronics repairs that are just ridicouls let alone battery pack replacement
After having a crap summer here, the beginning of september was looking good to go out again
But offcourse my audi q7 decides it was time for new year cheers and turned on all the christmas lights on the dashboard
And after having the stering column replaced because of a immobilizer failure
There is just to much eletronic crap in cars these days that go out at the worst time
Time for an electric model T with close to none of these BS parts

The "village idiot" is on ignore, so no telling what kind of response he had to the thought of the energy secretary having "gas cars" blocking her a spot at the electrical charging station.
The commydore just ignored it completely. Just like when he said his wife's Turdsla was quicker that his Porsche. He went ghost on us when asked for the time tickets from the track. Lied then ... no reason to believe anything he says now ..
$7.00 a gallon gas in Kookafornia ... why ? Those that hate AMERICA usually punch the biggest one in the mouth first, thinking the rest of the sheeple will fall in line.

I recently saw that shirt and I agreed w/it’s statement and felt weak for doing nothing.
To this point.
My dad enlisted in the Navy in WW II w/a new wife and a new daughter at home.
Because he was that driven to defend his country….., that he loved.
How bad does it get before we do similar?
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
