More like Tesla owners were willing to sacrifice the bad build quality to buy a cool looking American made EV since they were fast, had good range, and exclusivity to the charging network, until the other manufacturers caught up with speed and range, got access to the same network, along with better build quality, it became a no brainer to switch once leases went up, because the access to parts and customer service through dealer networks is far superior to Tesla with every other manufacturer.

Tesla's EV market share has been falling long before Elon made the great replacment theory his passion on Twitter a year ago, which is curiously when conservatives stopped their hatred for him lol. The recent selloff and mass vandalism and harassment is only since Elon evolved support for Nazi ideology like GRT into literal sieg heils on TV. That's just brought the conversation to the news, but Elon has known Tesla wouldn't survive long term once he made enough cars to no longer be eligible for the EV subsidies, especially as consumers are trending towards preferring hybrids. The cars that make them money aren't high enough quality to be worth their actual financial cost to consumers, and added social cost ruins the cool factor. The cybertruck has a cast aluminum frame that cracks when you tow anything or run it off road at all for 100k+. At that price point Ford, Chevy, and GMC all have better, American made models, EV and hybrid.

Elon knows getting as close to President Trump as possible is the only way he could convince him to end the cap that ends Teslas eligibility for the subsidy, and if he does that, I'm curious how you all will respond, given many posts in this thread advocating for ending the subsidy for all companies.

My great grandfather fought the Nazis, he taught my grandpa Errol all about Nazis. And my mother's side of my family is Jewish and has holocaust victims. We know all about how to spot Nazis. The things he has personally told me about Trump and the way he acted and ran the Atlantic City race are a big reason I don't like Trump either. Ivana was an amazing person and he was absolutely horrible to her as a husband, and he is a horrible father. We are allowed to disagree on his politics.
