    More on Hertz.

BTW, a friend was recently telling me his girl just bought a Tesla S.

Said wicked fast from 0 - 60 but you could watch range for down w/it.

She just bought it and was unsure she had range to get home.

Paid $15k for self driving option.
Said while self driving an incoming driver veered into their lane and instead of steering to avoid it. It locked up the brakes!

While another car was tail gating them!

Said you cannot jack up a corner to change a flat as it will twist its alum frame.
Must be flat topped…, for a flat!

    Yeah, sign me up!

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I have a friend with a Hertz franchise.....They HATE the electric stuff! But some people INSIST on renting them. So they have to make them go away to eliminate the problems they cause. Really big one is insurance, another is they are returned near dead most of the time and they can't recharge them with a quick enough turn around time when they are busy. Normal turn around time for an ICE rental is less than 1/2 hr. EV might be several hours.

It seemed odd to me that a Tesla could not be jacked up to change a tire. I asked Mr Google how to change a Tesla tire. Lots of videos show that it is possible to jack a Tesla corner. The cars do not come with a jack. One needs a floor jack and an adapter. Not as simple as my modern rides, but I own a floor Jack. It is easier to lift a Tesla then my 1969 Lotus.

Some, maybe all, EVs need to be towed on a flatbed. In the Kia EV6 manual it says this has something to do with the regenerative braking.

Yes, the city of Naples amended its Noise Ordinance in October 2020 to prohibit the use of gasoline-powered leaf blowers,

Noise Pollution, like Karen Chaz's lack of intellectual content, is more noise pollution.

I am all for making things less noisy!
Start with heat pumps and planes

Aalsmeer is really a nice place unless a sixties designed 747 hops over it heading east

An apperment i rent out has this nice contraption in the backyard it makes 57 Dba at idle and is used for the heat screen below in the shop
because that's what you do when it's cold you open the doors and turn up the heat
3 months and counting busy with the nice headoffice people of the shop explaining they are not complying with the law on noise pollution
now i did mention something about stupidity before

that article didnt mention what the others have, cost to repair from accidents and cars being writeoffs hence insurance costs up.
