It’s 2015 in the evening over at LOTO.
Do we have any info on the battery boat and it’s speeds and how it did?

Shaun had too many projects going on, and the EV boat never got finished.

The problem with all those "stunts" is that when the details come out; people realize how far off "practical" electric vehicles really are.
Guy sets off cross-country or puts an F-250 on a trailer behind a CyberJoke... and the video ends up like Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

About 20 miles into the trip .. they put the F-250 in front and go 80 mph for the rest of the way.

I've been saying since the beginning... once Ev's become "common" the free ride will have to end; they will have to start paying their share of road & bridge maintenance and the cost of the charging stations plus the increased demand for electricity will drastically drive up the cost if they insist on "zero carbon" sources.

The free ride never even got started for the poor schmucks having to foot the monthly bill for electric home heating and electric clothes dryers. Couple of our current houses had unused gas hookups for the dryer when we bought them. First thing we did was order gas dryers because in CA and CO, no place had them in stock so you had to order. Then when the gas dryer arrived the electric dryer went to the landfill after nobody wanted them. Even for free.

Yeah, I have a gas furnace, gas water heater, gas stove/oven, gas fireplace in the basement, radiant gas tube heater in the garage... too bad I can't find a natural gas air conditioner!

https://www.gassouth.com/blog/natura...r-conditioners
What are the advantages of natural gas air conditioners?
As we mentioned above, natural gas air conditioners are generally better suited for large commercial and industrial uses. And that’s because they offer several advantages over electric A/C systems—when it’s practical to use them, of course.
They’re typically more efficient, which means they cost less to operate in terms of energy use and frequency of maintenance. This increased efficiency means a smaller carbon footprint and less environmental impact too. They tend to run quieter, as well, and though they do require small amounts of electricity to run components like fans and pumps, natural gas air conditioners can be a great option in remote areas where there’s a limited supply of electricity.
What should I consider if I’m set on getting a natural gas air conditioner?
Availability, cost, compatibility, installation and maintenance are all important factors to weigh when you’re thinking about getting a natural gas air conditioner. If you don’t have natural gas already at your location, start with your utility company to see if it’s even an option—check out our tips on how to get natural gas service.
If you’re already using natural gas or know it’s possible to have service at your address, start by contacting a local HVAC professional, like our partners at Coolray. They can help walk you through your options and ensure safe and proper installation. We have invented the world; WE see

For such a "great inventor" why wouldn't Musk come up with something appealing .. Unless his target audience was those are used to being "bottom wrung dumpster divers"
