Of course here in the real world .. they can't give them POS's away. Without Dimbonomic's using our tax money to prop them up .. they would be gone already ..
https://money.com/why-americans-not-...electric-cars/
Sir .. you're car needs a new battery. Yea .. ok, how much is it ???
Well the battery is $20,000.00

Of course the village idiot has to be the first to spew more of what made him famous ... absolutely nothing of interest ... or from any semblance of decency or common sense ..
Funny how your the first to talk up .. electric CRAP .. but last to put your money on actually buying one ... makes you nothing more than a big blow-fish ..
3,2,1 ... daddy, Chaz is telling the truth about me again ...

EV sales have skyrocketed the past 10 years. It seems the sales growth has slowed. One million were sold in 2023. Battery pack failure is very, very rare. Telsa has a full warranty on the drivetrain (including battery pack) for 100,000 miles. It is well documented that Tesla battery packs still maintain 93% of life even after 200,000 miles. That means my wifes Model S will lose around 20 miles of range after 200,000 miles. I have said this time and again EV's are not for everyone. It is a fantastic luxury car that is ultra cheap to drive. Today I just did the first maintenance on the car in 2 years of ownership. I needed to add air to the tires with the cold weather.

Just heard, for the first time, someone quote the effect on range, of running your heater in the winter.
25% loss of range!
How about the letter to the president singed by all the dealers asking him to back off on the ev push as their lots are full and they can’t get rid of them.
Yeah their future is rosy, just like our economy.
As long as you apply Obidenomics.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Neighbor has one , small capacity about 78kwh. Says in winter it's about 220-240km. After I enlighten him to the total all in costs per kwh of about 21¢ per and that changed his perspective.
The new P/U are good looking, big battery too at near 400 in some. But at city to rural north all in rates that's up to $140 per full charge. Range isn't bad but all the rest just keep them parked on the lots. Even at northern gas prices it's not worth the trouble, for most people. If you're doing your own power production and can juggle the load it changes things but not much if any unless your system has paid it self off.
For the city sponge living in an apartment and plugging in whenever he can only going a easy round trip, sure wave your freak flag. Can't see how a street full of 300-400kwh bats getting topped every night for 100kwh per driveway is near reality unless it's like garbage day schedules and you'll get a charge day or two per week. Going to take some doing yet. ICE hyd , home electrolysis from water, 10-20kw home generation taking a 1-2 day cycle to produce and store for home fill-up in less than 10min is still better, PEM too. You'll see most all hydro gen dams producing for commercial fillup in the future, also from NatGas. Electric doesn't even have a standardized plug yet which is nuts ,Hyd had that SAE cert for must be decade now. Cummins has the right line of sight.Last edited by FMP; 12-29-2023 at 08:55 PM.

Yes, you can find someone who agrees with your thoughts
But so much that was presented above is such CRAP,
My brother sold his six-year-old Model S for $ 66,000. in one afternoon on Craigslist back in February of 2023,
Tesla's are so common in this town, but It's a wealthy area, and EVs aren't inexpensive now, but that's going to change very soon,
And that's because we are going to get Invaded by Cheap China Crap,
Tesla is now going to Focus on building a $25,000 EV. This will go quickly because It's got to be cheap and simple; the whole bottom.
It will be one cast unit. It will be bare bones and cheap because China is going to be really cheap.

The couple few left leaning TDS tards we have here could watch that video a dozen times , and still be oblivious to the reality of the true message at hand ...
How do some of them use their stand on POS EV's when it comes to their boats .. well they buy bigger gasoline powered outboard motors .. true hypocrites in action ..

Hey caveman, you can't buy a faster production car or truck than a Tesla,
9.23 at 155 MPH in 1/4, you are jealous that a production vehicle is faster than your hand-built tube drag car
and with removing the interior 8.73 at 158 mph
https://youtu.be/RgJMajgtUl8?si=32EBngz_r2RBFJ_Y
Who said anyone is buying these to save the World?
My brother has always had fast luxury cars from overseas,
I was happy he finally bought an American car. I believe It's his first...
You also can't get any more American than Tesla. They build 98 % in-house.
And to keep costs down... Tesla doesn't Play

I think the fastest Lucid will outrun a Tesla Model S Plaid. That’s what Car and Driver’s testing showed. Either would show their taillights to any ICE vehicles.
Yes I still boat, but both boats are as fuel efficient as possible with DI 2 strokes. Sue me for being a hypocrite.
The US has a 27% tariff on Chinese cars, so you won’t see any soon. In Canada our Tesla’s are coming from China.
Battery prices continue to drop and it looks like EVs will reach price parity with ICE in a few years. I would not choose an EV for towing long distance or for driving cross country, but for a lot of use, an EV is functional.
Hydrogen is, as ever, a decade away. Burning hydrogen in an ICE is far less efficient than using it in a fuel cell. Hydrogen is not going to save internal combustion. Most hydrogen today is a by product of oil, and not very ‘green’. Large scale electrolysis is probably feasible but basically doesn’t exist.
And the record setting EV boats are pretty cool, even if I don’t think EV boats are logical for consumers yet.

David, the price of the plaid has dropped to $90,000.
While the Lucid Air Sapphire is $250,000 to go two tenths of a second quicker for $160,000 more plus TAX
You can buy almost three Tesla Plaids for the price of one Sapphire.
I like the looks of the S better than the Air.We have invented the world; WE see

I think Lucid over estimated the market for $200,000 EVs. The Lucid is said to handle better then the Tesla and to be more upscale inside, but Lucid sales are slow.

Interesting that UM chose a center pod tunnel. I would have thought that a true tunnel had more speed potential
