He got it for being a magician, never owned a business that made a profit but retired a billionaire.
He knew how to play the crowd.

Sounds very much to me like you have a real Australian point of view Pilgrim—— plus a dislike of the royal family too.—- Windsor’s do not decree who receives a knighthood —— merely distribute —as you well know !!!!!!!
You probably have a great dislike of Hamilton too——- thats your prerogative—- or maybe its of all successful people .
Hamilton has given services to motor sport for over thirty years —— is not a rich mans son [as so many in F1 are]—- started at the lowest tier of motorised sport and reached the top.
I cant say i like the man with his ponsy dress and BLM attitude —- [and if he turns out to be a homo—then im outa here ]— but he can drive the snot out of any race car —— and thats a fact not even you ca dispute !!!!!!!!!

I was just taking the piss with the coincidence of Mercedes and the UK's royal families heritage.
The Royal Family is great, UK lucky to have one.
Jack Brabham achieved more than Hamilton ever will

Still cant work out what Hamilton has done for anyone but himself and Bernie agrees with me

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/17069...ghthood-wolff/
"He received the knighthood in recognition of his dazzling motorsport career, just days after his controversial Formula One title loss. But Ecclestone, the former F1 chief executive, hinted Hamilton did not do 'anything specific for the country' to earn the honor

Bernie done more for more people than Hamilton and has left a huge legacy behind re the status of F1

But he is still way behind Bernie on the millionaires list who was simply a Warren Street car dealer —-until he turned honest and put F1 on the straight and narrow [making himself a billionaire ] in the process. I have nothing against anyone who made it big time . You dont do that without breaking a few eggshells.

Jack got lucky 3 times actually over a 7 year period, designed and built his own car and engines, hence your mob decided he was worthy of the very first F1 driver/constructor to get a Knighthood when a mechanic from a colony can knock off the worlds best....3 times, that achievement is highly unlikely to ever happen again.

Branson, sorry he had one business that made money the record label and hit the jackpot when selling it although he says it sailed close to the wind on many occasions. I think he then worked out selling a company to make money is better then running them to make money.
Tired a listed compnay and getting money from investors but that puts you under the microscope so he never did that again.
How much money did he salt away tax havens, nobody knows.
The world is a better place for him being in it, thats for sure, he is good at creating concepts and selling the companies he starts.

Sorry to disappoint you Pilgrim —-I NEVER HAD A MOB—- but i did get you TICKING !!!!! Which was the object of the exercise . I would never belittle anyone who won a world championship in any sport.i know exactly what it takes to become one —- I’ve been there —chasing around the world —never quite made it —spent a lot of my life —money—-time —heartache ——. But i met a lot of people who did make it .
What baffles me is how come Schumacher [ dirtiest driver of all time ] with 7 world titles and mentioned in despatches won his titles on merit ????????? [cars had nothing to do with it not even the dominant Ferrari of the time]].
Hamilton beats him hands down in every department —- yet can’t drive worth a sh-t ???????
Vettel only won with RED BULL when they were top dog —- he‘s won won sweet FA since —- just the one podium in the last few years ?????? But nobody mentions that.
Yet Hamilton only won because he had good cars —- no ability whatsoever —- ask the media — .
Look at the list of champions and you will always pick out a true winner —-Surtees —-bikes and cars —-Clarke—-Hill [graham] and son Damon . James Hunt—He played and had fun all the way to a championship——— the story is littered with grit—Hope —Endeavour—- and disappointment.
Just gives me the hump when people who think they know—— but actually dont —spout rubbish .
Hamilton went to the GOAT —- one way or another —— like it or not——STATISTICALLY —of course as he hasn’t got a lick of ability.

Yes Hamilton is damn good, I think maybe we have all gotten used to the fact he always wins and makes it look easy, hence the press thinks its nothing special?

This showed he is very very good

Hard cash and a bit of heritage helps ———chuck in a few „“WHO YOU KNOW“ and the door might just crack open wide enough to let you put a foot in . F1 is littered with WANNABEES — rich kids ——and also rans. Talent usually sorts it all out —— and if you are in the top flight for more than ten years , you have to be bloody good .
All the great drivers seem to Peak and then fall flat. Schumacher——Vettel——-Alonso——Raikonan —-etc. maybe Hamilton has peaked —- who knows ??? Maybe there‘s more to come !!!!!!!
When they no longer make the grade its the cars they have that take the blame —— media never says they fell off the bubble ????? Just unlucky !!!!!!
Like i said —-im done with F1 [ until next season anyway]. I most certainly will not pay for watching sky sport tv when i can wach any other old rubbish for free.
