I got so many wings on the worktop I'm thinking of going for my pilots licence----------never did fly fixed wings-------just gliders and choppers.
Tomorrow I will put the numbers on the White wing and mount it permanently in the brushed steel microwave surround, gave the motors a final polish and nailed them back on.
Had a very productive session in the shop, glued up the last wing ( that's three on the go at once) and rough cut them, sized 'em, shaped 'em to look something like a SWITZER" wing. Mahogony is nice to work with but Acacia is a stone bitch, hard as a rock and soft as a sponge in the same piece. No doubt about it being the "Marilyn Monroe " of the timber world, all curves and beautiful.
seems a shame to paint it!
Had a long FACETIME with GARY STRAY at GIECO and he's going to make me a gear case for the motor based on the speedmasters-----he's got a Cincinatti Computerised Mill and reckons he can make damn near anything!

Had a great afternoon with sister Ange--and husband FISH ---too late to go back in the shop but will do a " crack-o-sparrow" start tomorrow to make up for it!
Daughter Sam is off to Florida in April------think I can sweet talk her into taking a couple of wings in a spare suitcase----can drop 'em off in Stuart if anyone wants one?

Gary also told me there are some brilliant five bladed cleavers coming out of Germany that are made for radio controlled boats--------will look into it further. Will save me making them.

Roger, have decided to put a couple of Twisters on the big wing-----somehow it doesn't look right without a pair of the black beasts installed, won't be this week though, up to my fetlocks in wings!

Rambled enough for one day but remember what my sainted mother used to say,

SEX,!!------if God made anything better--------he kept it to for himself. Night all, MYG.J.

Yeah, but unlike me Rich, Tom & Tess were probably nice, hard working, clean living, God fearing Christians-------I'm not even in their league .

Jesus wept Lassie--how the hell do you do do it ?
You could sweet talk the knickers off'n an Iron Lady--------Mr . Modesto, personified.
Suppose I could be a shade envious!! Do OMC pick up the fuel tab too?
Are those last years motors with a new paint job for 2015?
Do you have a 400 yet, Wonder if you will get the 500 .Better hurry they got 'em in Oshberg,NOW.
Mr.K was right-----black is the only colour for an outboard!! Took a while for the penny to drop.
Would have been a better video with sound as I DONT lip read .
Could be my iPad playing up I suppose, JUST JOSHING WITH YOU LASSIE.

Maybe I am a bit green after all !

Wow! Not sure the Piggy-bank can afford such extravagance! .... BUT I'm not complaining! See you at OFF. Off to Tavares this coming week for their March event. Rich and I are giving the women their first Wing flight if all goes well. Always a good time. Roger, you never said if you wanted BP/s or T2X/s!
i can leave them with a wood finish(english oak) if you want to do the paint job yourself.

You can see by the piccy some of the many jobs all going on at once!
Back ground is A piss take concept of Warbys record breaker, several outboards ' straight sixes and twisters along with a couple of gear cases

Got four and a half hours in the shop this morning and three this afternoon.Did a good imitation of a beaver, head down ,arse up, beavering away. Did some grain filling on the soft bits, reasonable result. Six sponsons coming along, eight outboard blanks sanded ready for shaping---eight gear cases then eight propellor------another week and I'll have something to show you, it's just going to be a steady grind from now on.
Trying to figure out the flip up canopy on 7000 & 700, Haven't cracked it yet, but I will.

Experiment day tomorrow-----do I polish, varnish , or epoxy? Or paint?

Its always Thursday!------another week and I should have my licence back.

really bushed,so, here endeth the first lesson, MYGGWY.J.
