After attending the first day of “THE FESTIVAL OF SPEED” at GOODWOOD ——Three of them CAME TO MY HOME AND DELIVERED A FRAMED PHOTOGRAPH OF THE COSWORTH BEING LAUNCHED AT WINDERMERE Johnno. !!!!!!!!!!
Asked him where he lived and he told me WINDERMERE . Was also a member of the Lancashire Powerboat club and knew lots of folk that i knew .They stayed all of two minutes before heading to Woking [sons place].
now my house is less than five minutes from Goodwood , yet it took him an hour to reach here ????? When they start to leave the event, there are thousands of cars trying to exodus at the same time and all the roads within a ten mile radius are gridlocked ,
same thing for the next three days ——-do not come anywhere near here until next week.
One day i will tell you all about Carr Mill and its early days and people —Like Len MELLY !!!!!!How the members bought the club——————-==its a great story.

So why are we not running a hydrogen powered rotory?, in all things with a motor, instead of being conned into all electric everything and all the inherent problems created by same ???????
WhY the hell they need still more money , when they have a $30,000.000. Investment from the military is beyond me !!!!!!!! They aren’t exactly “STRAPPED FOR CASH”.

Mazda actually has been running Hydrogen rotaries for some time now in Japan. Problem with Hydrogen is accessibility and storage and the Hindenburg.

Always thought you made hydrogen on the hoof so to speak—- bit like beer and whisky and oxygen .
Dont think i would worry too much about the Hindenburg —- was in the thirties wasn’t it — i do know it’s definitely not around any more !!!!!!!
Was problems with lithium —- batteries—— charging ——-fires and the putting out of same with all electric cars !!!!!——-hasn’t stopped the buggers conning the world though has it ??????

The Hindy's fuselage fabric was essentially coated with the same stuff that is used for solid rocket booster fuel on the shuttle? Hydrogen had nothing to do with the initial ignition point.

Damned if i can remember whether or not i told you i bought a “HOBIE 18 TIGER CAT”. 91 When will i ever learn ??????? Apparently it’s a tad more than a 91 year old can handle [have this on good authority from my brother in law who built sailboats all his life]

There was a detailed documentary on TV that indicated that the skin was ignited by a static spark generated by the nose drop line making contact with the ground. They recreated the static charge and skin coupon in a test lab and it was scary. Also, some family in New York had a personal Kodak movie camera that had footage of the incident from an entirely different perspective than the general press corp did that eliminated the hydrogen gas fault.

As i have travelled along life’s motorway, i have come to realise the value of sainted mothers little quotes. Turns out she was a very wise lady!!
Not all that long ago we were told to buy a diesel powered vehicle . Various reasons and subsidies were offered should one go along with that. Now all diesel vehicles are banned from the roads forever . Same with all electric motors—huge incentives were offered in the early days —- we were never told of all the faults and drawbacks . High initial cost— Massive weight—-low distance that can be travelled on a single charge——-high fire risk——and an hour long wait at the re-charge station. Whatever you do —for lords sake do not use the air-conditioning on a really hot day or the heater on a cold day as it halves the distance you can travel—-Plus —i almost forgot -ABSOLUTELY NO TRADE IN VALUE !!!!!!
STILL EVERY CAR MANUFACTURER HAS GONE “ALL ELECTRIC”—-can anyone tell me why !!!!!
