Aw- C’mon Fuji it might be authentic Mercury —but i wouldn’t say it was anything like “BRILLIANT”.
Apt for the time of the year would be closer to a description !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it is not on an Array of anything except a bit of carbon fibre checker effect ??????? “High performance eggs”??????? Rooster with a hard -on ?????? But it is all black !!!!!!!!!!

That particular effort would not stand up in the same room as OMC’s Havasu table napkins or Mercury’s UP AND AWAY Powerboat magazine cover from the early seventies. Or even “BLACK MAX” his fearful self !!!!!!
Since the demise of Joe Swift, Mercury’s attempts at advertising and publicity have been pretty mediocre —- a blind man with Alzheimer’s could not have done worse and the only memorable thing over the last thirty years was Mike Butlers “LITTLE RED” [and the budget did not allow for a half decent trailer]
Luckily , where it’s housed now, [DAYTONA], its hanging so a trailer would be superfluous to requirements anyway.
Ive always only been a black man, so i am allowed to criticise —i only rear up when others criticise the Marque !!!!!!!!!!!
incidentally its pissing down here ——-a typical English bank holiday monday, just like it did for most of the bank holiday Mondays i went racing .!!!!! And its set for all day.

MAX AITKIN TROPHY for the 2023 COWES/TORQUAY race —- do have a pair of them -t’other is in solid walnut on an English oak base .

Decided to have a crack at a CONCORD trophy——its working well up to now. I will keep you “in the loop”. !!!!!!!

This is the other MAX AITKIN TROPHY. — the one out of solid walnut. HAVENT quite figured out what the do with this one yet, but it’ll come to me eventually.

Bit of a disaster today—- secondary worktop with the planer thicknesser—- CHITTY bang -bang—— diamond weighing scales and half a ton of ALLUMINIUM slabs —gave up the ghost and collapsed !!!!!! Was originally the old kitchen unit and breakfast bar . Had those small adjustable legs with the plastic inserts . Never gave it much thought until the legs popped up through the chipboard base . Sad to report , the bugger died on me !!!!!!!!!
Wasted two days of easter trying to bring it back to life——— was ok laying on my back under the bench with a rattle gun and a fistful of long screws ———was when i tried to stand up the trouble started .
Wont bore you with details —suffice to say i sorted the problem—-fixed IT. KILLED IT STONE DEAD AND THEN RESURECTED SAME. . Still a day out of my life i could have done more productive things with !!!!

NOT EVEN 8-00AM AND I HAVE TWO [DIDDLERS] These are folk who are going to buy the items you are. Selling but are working and too busy to collect themselves ——they then ask for bank details [usually paypal] before asking if you have received the payment. Then comes the message from “WISE” or some such company saying they have taken over your existing bank in a world -wide merger but wants£500 to make your acc international ???????????? Yeah—- like just arrived from LA-LA LAND!!!!!
Wouldn’t mind , but two before work is pushing it a bit strong doncha think ???????
just keep your eyes peeled — seems to be old bastards like me that are the targets.

Jackie Wilson. I have met the man the myth the legend you got a love him even if he is from the old country and tries to confuse colonials. He has a way with words. A few of us can match and also for his age he is amazingly talented with his hands and turning out replicas and just playing stuff that he dreams up well we’re finally getting some rain over here and sunny South Florida so I don’t have to water my ex-wife‘s plants anymore for a few days, God love her but she’s a slave driver, Jackie I hope you found all the eggs that you had from yourself because I’m still looking for some of mine. This is just overnight. Next week the gazebo goes up so the covers can come off the patio furniture —sodding winter has finally gone. It’s just the rain we have to contend with—- maybe the sun will finally come out to play. Dizziness is finally reducing, thank the lord . Thought i was going do-Lilly-tat for a while .
i do have a big problem though—- i looked long and hard at the three Benson and Hedges boats i made a long time back. My old teachers bugging the crap out of me again——“COULD DO BETTER”?


So i took a beautiful chunk of walnut and cut it. Into three equal -shaped bases . Six coats of clear, after i had removed every imperfection. Polished some new double mounts and voila——- now they look like they belong to somebody !!!!!!!!Attachment 517686

Problem is they put the walnut. “MAX AITKIN”. TO SHAME !!!!! So i demolished it with acetone and gave that six coats of clear laquer !!!!!! All it needs now is a half decent Walnut polished base !!!!!!

Someone after CHITTY-CHITTY- BANG-BANG, SO I HAVE THAT OUT AGAIN GIVING IT A ONCE OVER.!!!

Little grey cells are working overtime —— do have the best concept of all in mind —-“AIMEE” Could be for Key West—-0R the COWES/TORQUAY——?????
Or it could be for something completely different—- idea is still fresh—and—i haven’t made up my mind yet !!!!!!!!
I can tell you one thing ——it will be feckin “OUTSTANDING”.

Workshop totally clagged up again——-last count i had 12 different concepts on the go. Time to send another trunkful to Florida again .
Can get about 20/25 in the trunk at one time —total weight comes out around 120lbs—— postage —you don’t want to know !!!!!!!!
”AIMEE”will be in the form of an offshore tunnel of a sometime in the future design of my own imaginative lateral way way of thinking —————[no, i cant work that one out either].
