Still of the opine that Bill Seebold is one of the most iconic HONEST boat builders ever . He has helped more boat racers ——WANNABEES and has beens than any one i ever knew . Mind you GG helped a lot of racers along the way —- he was a bit of an assehole at times — and we did have our differences —but the world‘s a sadder place without him.
But again as i grow older i have to admit that a lot of the guys i fell out with weren’t ALWAYS to blame ——just most of ‚em and most of the time !!!!!!!!!

Totally agreeTotally agree I totally agree with what you and Jackie said. I watched a lot of speed addicts Spend family fortunes racing and try to compete with the factories. Or some of the fastest racers work local Tinkerers I just had the Moxie to listen to them. The Seebolds The Lee crafts The earlier Kitsons the McCall’s and others I can’t think of right now we’re pioneers in both building over here. The Rayson crafts The Mandela’s the Lacey craft I he Schiaparelli boats. In Hydroplane you had Ron Jones the Lauderbach HULLS and a lot of others.

Jeremiah CETTI built the TORRIGIA factory and the first tunnel boats in Italy NEVER GOT ANY CREDITS .

Dave Burgess was Shakey Bill‘s boatbuilder long before he ever went to work for Fred Miles— was years later he went off on his own and built BURGESS boats .

Chris Hodges was the boatbuilder at COUGARS in the days of James Beard —Clive Curtis long before he went off on his own and built HODGES.

STAUDACHER was another great hydro builder . History is littered with long forgotten boatbuilders who built beautiful works of art in their boatbuilding . Unfortunately Boat Racing history has not kept its history remembered very well .

Today would have been thePARIS SIX HOURS RACE——always coincided with the ARC-DE TRIUMPH hay burners event .

These are a pair of mounts for my next offshore concepts .
They are SINGLE POINT LOAD CELLS !!! picked them out of the alloy scrap bin for £2-00 each. Gary stray saw them and told me he just put one on the steering system OF THE NEW FERRARI fun boat ——-COST $7,000 A POP. NOW THAT IS ONE HELL OF A MOUNT !!!!!!

LOL.......back in days when we all had good bodies. Sure as heck don't look like that now! Lynne traded her ski for a sharp pencil to keep the racing effort buoyant. If Lynne said "no" that was it.............[/QUOTE]
Still exactly the same today —Billy can do exactly what he wants [AS LONG AS LYNNE SAYS SO !!!!!!!!!!]

Earlier this year when Bill and Timmy visited GOODWOOD after the Bristol reunion.
Was ok —-LYNNE sent TIM to look out for BILL.

Imagination + creativity + fabrication = product formula.
 &
 “Lucky Sperm”.

I think we all can attest, with a limited bankroll, we have devised a homemade tool and/or part. Which is commendable, because we used the product formula.

However, “he is lucky sperm.” This is what a visiting businessman use to tell me about the son of a business owner. At a former place where I worked for years, this business visitor, would relish repeating that the subsequent owner of their company, was going to be owned by the founder’s son.

I believe most of us, including me, have been fortunate in receiving a nominal (some more than others) opportunities/benefits/support from our fathers or other family members. So those given much more, are expected to achieve more. And good for them to prosper. I personally respect all human levels of achievements, regardless of their bank account. (Which encompasses humble beginnings like; Henry Ford, Oprah, JK Rowling, & Sam Walton, to those closer to the lucky sperm influence like; Elon Musk, Bill Gates, & Zuckerberg).

Nobody ever left me anything—- i never wanted or wished to be given anything. Only exception to this is the £412 -30p that my father left me when he died of a hernia infection aged 90. some twenty years ago.
Learned the hard way[only way in my opinion] never to rely on anyone for anything—-so i never have .
