I NEVER EVER SHOW YOU THE BEGINNINGS. But this could be the start of something big.
what with the first race for the big boys at cocoa beach this weekend —the 100 plus entrants for the poker run people . Thought i might elucidate on something a tad different.
Like a prize Pratt i bit off more than i could chew ——punched above my category —call it what you want —I FECKED UP !!!!!!!!! I have 12 projects or concepts on the go at once —even for me, thats a tad ridiculous .. I really do have to take a time out and recoup. Finish what im doing .
I have a shed load of concepts and need to unload some of them . Thats why i went for the big tunnels and quick vees with multiple and different propulsions .
last dozen craft have all been in natural hardwood —- various finishes from straight beeswax to clear laquer . Whatever anyone says —- wood finish is not as popular as its cracked up to be .
Get some of these shifted , then i might do some colours again .

Thats an absolute fact Roy——people want colour —-very few woods can give you the flowering that mahogany and teak give, but it still needs the see through lacquer type finish to make the product successful !!!!
i have twelve concepts on the go at the minute , all are wood finish . Most have clear Lacquer finishes . Doesn’t mean they will ALL wind up with a wood look. They will all have a good base to work on .
I do have [my take on] a present day RIVA that i FERNAGLED out of an exotic wood —-no matter what i do to it —its still flat as a fart —-dull and uninteresting . Close to being BRILLIANT — but missing by a country mile at the minute . Plus i am spending far too much time on it!!!!!!
Miles Jennings asked me to make him a trophy he wants to present . Something memorable that will stand the test of time.
Now normally trophies can be hideous [like the plastic four poster bed type American monstrosities] or huge like THE INDIANAPOLIS 500 AND THE HARMSWORTH.
But i want to do something a bit different that will be remembered and sought after. Again I’m spending more time than i can actually afford cobbling it all together. I have ambition and live in hope !
i really would like to do some fancy finishes on my concepts —simple fact is, i don't know how .
Guitars in particular have that wonderful “DIPPED IN “ look — like looking in a coloured mirror .
If you know of any product or method i should try —- tell me — i will always listen . Most finishes i do come straight out of an aerosol , or a beeswax polish tin.

I use to work at an OEM company, and on some of the products (outer surfaces) we called for a #4 finish.
The #4 finish adds character to the products' metal enclosures.

Jesus wept Roy WAY ABOVE MY PAY GRADE — I’M JUST A SIMPLE BODGER AND FERNAGLER.
i know my place . Looked at the videos and decided the way i do it will suit me fine . Have a guy who bought a load of gear from me, says he will teach me the art of french polishing . Think I’ll settle for that .

Kings English or Jackie Wilson‘s interpretation
I can kind of figure out what afernagler is because I’ve lived in Miami along time ago I understand Spanglish, what in the blue H… Is a bodger? Is that something like an old codger which most of us are nowadays. Possibly is it like A baseball player with the Los Angeles Dodgers. I’m so confused Jackie

Holy Snikeys Jackie now that I know what a badger is I hate to ask you what are a pole lathe is.Do you know Jackie we do have electricity here in the colony. Also we have buses instead of donkeys and most of our stools are four-legged in the bars just because the OSHA requires safety for us for fools when we get drunk

So you want to sound off about the colonies . In those far off long gone days , when there were trees everywhere . The BODGER would set his lath up under the spreading chestnut tree —attach a piece of cord to a springy branch and the other end to the treadle —put a couple of turns around the piece he was fernagling and pedal away . Wood would turn clockwise for cutting —then spin backwards —-so on and so forth —- but I’m sure you get the general idea .
have you ever fallen off a three legged stool ????????? No, well neither has anyone else . It is a physical and scientific impossibility.
Shouldn’t be long before every bar in the USA starts
ordering three legged bar stools .
I have noticed the fact there are only two types of buses —- those 1920’s yellow ones and those stainless steel ones with the long dog logo !!!!!!!!!!
Really comfy looking buses were all converted to RV’s .

Reeducation
You may have something Jackie quick with the ex-wives on the yellow ones maybe they’ll start listening with some reeducation. Also getting a long vacation from the kids may not be such a bad thing either. But I still am convinced that three legged barstools will never make a come back over here. Too many clumsy drunks we need four legged barstools. So here’s what I’m suggesting I’m gonna send you a badger to take care of your Bodger and beaver to take care of your chestnut tree I’m also sending a small generator so you can run your power tools in the basement of your castle where you’re working. I’m also doing you a big favor and Not sending you any of our weak ass American beer. Because you live close enough to Heaven the home of Guinness beer. Please try not to over analyze this Jackie it’s just a simple boy from colony.

We do have an old saying over here Charlie ———-“IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE” —-SIMPLE COUNTRY BOY !!!!!!!! Just that I’m an original. In fact —THE ORIGINAL.
We have a dearth of badgers since the tree huggers protests ——good thing is the traffic takes care of a whole lot of them.
“BEAVER”. —now that seems interesting !!!!!!!! [BIT ABOUT SENDING ME A BEAVER ]. ???????
