I agree Jackie, seems it should work both ways, if Hamilton's advantage comes from the car how come when Verstappen does well all of a sudden he is some sort of savant and Adrian Newey has forgotten how to design a car....

In Fi its always been the designers. wherever Ade Newey went the team was successful.
When red bull had the winning streak with Vettel and Webber nobody complained . same at Williams. not forgetting Ferrari !!!! Suddenly the cars no good, nothing about the driver dropping off form there. .

Wonder how many folk can remember the cars Senna, Fangio, Hunt, Andretti, Mansell etc., drove.
Everybody remembers their names, nobody remembers the cars.
I do not like Hamilton and his Blm or his flag waving knee bending antics, but i do admire his driving. He would make any car look better than it actually is ——— EVEN THE FERRARI. Which is not too far off the pace. Imagine Hamilton and LECLERC as your starting line up, the mind boggles.

If you look at F1 world championships, a small group of designers have won them all
The car matters more than the driver

Beg to differ Pilgrim. How come in any two car team, theres always one driver superior to his team mate.
Ive seen good drivers bring home the bacon in a crappy car .
Plus a good driver always make the car look better than it really is.
Or do you believe its just good luck and a decent car that enables a driver to win seven world titles and 94 Grand Prix races. And Schumacher wasnt a great driver, he just had good cars.?
Turkish GP was a race that sorted the wannabes from a champion !

Agree that an unlimited budget , plus hard cash has a lot to do with winning ways ?

Jackie: I give you a lead on small props and all I hear from you is F-1 that you previously said you weren't going to watch?

WELL, I MUST SAY, that looks more hopeful than anything I’ve come up with Johnno. Black pairs look interesting , but the white ones with the 2 mill centre holes , with no room for enlarging dont exactly thrill me. But im grateful you took the time and trouble to find them , THANK YOU.
I didnt watch the Turkish GP , But i did follow it on my IPad . I have not watched an F1 race for a long time, i refuse to pay for any extra TV programmes .

Apologies Johnno, Afraid my life on the Helter Skelter is a tad frantic, too many things going on , “ There is no time to stop and stare”—-In spite of the lockdown i still have places to go and things to do. its only the “ People to meet” bit that’s affected.
Its over two years since i fitted any concept with propellors ( in fact its well over two years since i sold a project) so im not rushing out to buy anything. i still appreciate all your efforts.
