73 . I had been told to sex and travel by Garbrecht . I had also bought a garage and needed to quit racing for a while . Was also the year the “PICKLES” were tried, think it wqs RonJones in California with the first . He bought his props from Phil Rolla , Renato quickly built a pickle , don't take a genius to work things out.
74, i bought a Keith Black/. Ron Jones KT from Garbrecht, shipped it over and used the hardware to make VENUS, the miles / cosworth with Bill Brown .
But it was a few years before the V8’s came on the scene .
I was never “ Fascinated “. with Bristol——- Terrified would be a better word. Never ever drove above 95 percent there. some drivers drove way over their heads. five paid the ultimate price and is the main reason there will never be another Bristol race.

Ah, yes, THE DUKE OF YORK TROPHY.
Billy won this race six out seven times. Should have been seven out of seven , but he pulled the jack plug (Killswitch). just before the finish line , handing Renato the trophy , now thats a little known fact that Billy doesnt want broadcast , so you didnt hear that here.
We should also dispel the theory that if you won the trophy three times, you got to keep it, NOT SO.
It always was a perpetual trophy, to be held for one year and then handed back to the committee .
was probably a hype story by one of the comics that started the rumour. But put Up by royalty ——- in solid gold ? It was never going to happen.

1973 was the year I became fascinated with the Bristol race venue.

Here is Renato with V8 power at Bristol also.

Sounds about right ROY, Renato and Bobby would have the latest brand fire new Pickle configuration , whilst Bob and Tom had the old full tunnels. All the piccies are taken at Bristol. Cranes were supplied by SPARROWS. Carlo Rasini is next to the crane.
RYA probably have the Duke Of York in the Vaults at “THE SQUADRON “ dontcherknow!

Absolutely nothing to do with S+F or boating, just me whinging! The arm took a turn for the worse last weekend and necessitated a trip to the A+E unit at the Bognor hospital. All gone a bit Manky and putrid which was a bit of a worry i must confess. Back again today to have the dressing changed .
Message to all my old fart friends. DO NOT FALL OVER . DO NOT TRIP OVER YOUR OWN FEET, MORE PEOPLE OVER 80 DIE AS THE RESULT OF A FALL THAN ANYTHING ELSE.
I had no idea that this was the case. as a result, i am not falling over again until im 107 and feel the need to fall.

I was born just naturally mean Pilgrim. I refuse to add to Murdochs wealth. I have a free to view TV that cost an obscene amount of money in 2011. Nine years on and i still Havent paid a red cent for either a licence or pay to view, Thats the reason i dont watch any form of sport. Overpaid popinjays. Not worth watching in the first place, you want to watch football, go to any park anywhere on a saturday afternoon. Kids playing football the way it should be played , Creed and colour dont matter. Its the spirit of the game. SO THEY TELL ME.

...i have been paying for at&t home phone land lines for over 15 years that i never use. what a huge waste of money i have paid them. my wife & i have both visited multiple at&t stores, at&t customer service centers, and made many phone calls to at&t over the years to drop this land-line service portion of our bill, which also includes other services. every one of them have said the same thing. we cannot drop just the phone service without buying into a new service "bundle". last week i called a service repair number & got an at&t girl that was working out of her house(virus) in oklahoma somewhere she said. i told her what i wanted to do & she said "No Problem"...it will be off tomorrow & off your bill. I then thanked her six times & told her my story. she could'nt believe it.

NEVER NEVER bundle your services just to save five bucks on your bill! If you encounter technical problems of any sort or TV channels are dropped due to a pending contract dispute, you will get a flurry of finger-pointing at the "other guy" for a source of a solution. If your account is managed on a direct basis, you have CONTROL. If it's bundled, you are HELPLESS.

There was me thinking that BT were the biggest conniving, thieving, Underhand communications systems in the world. A company whose help line personell were based in Mumbai and spoke In an unintelligible Version of The English language.
Could it be that the colonials are suffering from the same problem? I simply want a connection which enables me to watch both TV and the Internet.
This is what’s called “ A Bundle” and subject to a luxury high unearned income Inheritance tax, you know the one the ANY EXCUSE TO CHARGE MORE TAX.
This is a necessary tax to enable our leaders to provide food and housing to illegals and able bodied layabouts who refuse to work , simply live off the backs of everyday hard working individuals.
I still find it impossible to understand how come politicians and sportsgits can earn millions and pay little or no tax, yet people like me are charged up to the hilt and threatened with a jail sentence if I refuse to pay. Now why is that?

Does "flips" include blow-overs (backwards) and barrel-rolls? (sideways)?
I'm guessing Billy's been wet a number of times due to boat-to-boat contacts etc - but actually taking to the air, minimal. I'll go with two or three times?
