Suzuki just brought a new 250cc Engine with lots of patents pending——- pushes out nearly 120 hp per litre, which is more in line with most folks thinking.
Good example is The Triumph Thunderbird was pushing out 32 horsepower in 1951 from 650 cc.

Price of petrol has finally dropped to £1:00 Per litre—— May have something to do with the fact that nobody is going out—— not to work—— not to play—— not to collect groceries—- not to visit neighbors or beauty spots.
All the storage tanks in the world are full to capacity ——- production hasn’t just slowed down—— ”lit’s ceased!
People are finding out the world doesn’t stop , just because they have to work on the end of a computer at home !
Reckon there will be thousands of office blocks made obsolete——- so why would you pay a hundred grand in taxes when you can work from home for free!????????
That way you don’t need the car—- so you don’t need the over priced fuel—- knock on effect is delightful, all the way up to its own rectum!
If my memory is correct in 1960 When ford brought out the anglia 997cc OHV engine Cosworth put a Dual Cam head for a formula 1 race series engine. I read it was the first 1 litre engine to exceed 100 hp per litre.

Much earlier than that, Around 1955—John Surtees was running a bike called RGD Special— that thing was untouchable, it was rumoured to be pulling 70 hp from 500 cc—— I was riding a Triumph 500 . It was raining, at an Easter Brands Hatch meeting ——— I finished second——- he lapped me!
I never raced a motorcycle again.
Was four years before I bought a boat——- another year before I bought a race boat. THE YELLOW PERIL,

Another day dawns—- a beautiful cloudless blue sky —— all’s well with the world on the outside—- it’s the inside that’s such a bloody mess !
We had 850 dead from Coronavirus yesterday—- just as I thought things were improving—- wham, areal kick-in the balls.
I think from now on I’m going to do the ostrich thing and just get back to me, you and aconcept or two!!!

Another bad day for the Uk —— 561 deaths due to Coronavirus! I’ve been isolated for fifteen days and have only sneezed twice and coughed once in that time, seems I’m clear at the moment. That devious hooded bastard with his scythe is trying all sorts of dubious and dastardly tricks to get amongst us.

Amazing how nurses who have always been treated as second class citizens by the government are suddenly front line heroes——- payed minimum wages—- always the last to get a pay rice——- told the NHS can’t afford the cash for them——— charges them top rate for parking their cars whilst at work.
Suddenly they can park for free——- when this is all over, I wonder if there will be changes—— government has very selective memories!

Yes, he did it ! Fond memories of my trip to Naples last November!
After the arctic weather in Tavares—- it was nice to get some sunshine!

Me, Lynne, “Squirt” and Billy——-when I’m staying at Marks place in Stuart, Squirt usually drops by and takes me up to Tavares . If he behaves himself, I’ll let him take me back again.
Lynne has been “Baby Sitting” Bert most of his adult life. Eating is his main passion in life - with deep sea fishing a close run second.
Above is a rare picture of him without an oversize goldfish in his arms—— or talking to a gooney bird !
Must be something about him that I like, but for the life in me I can’t remember what it was.

Afraid I was one of those that thought Coronavirus “can’t be as bad as they’re saying”—- was I ever wrong ! I should have been terrified from the start, but I wasn’t—— now I am!
When I see that over 50,000 people have already died, it hits home that I’ve been far too lackadaisical in my approach and thinking during this time!
Its no good blaming politicians and others—— I should have taken more notice and listened to what was being said.
Now I am following the rules, to the letter.
I just hope it’s not a case of too little too late.
Im fortunate that my daily routine has hardly altered—— I’m very much a loner these days except for the odd forage to the supermarket, which I only do under protest.

You May find it hard to believe but Squirt and me have been good friends for years—- but I don’t broadcast it——- he’s big headed enough already for a little chap!
Ive been in self inflicted isolation for three weeks now—— I clear my throat and wonder—— sneeze and think WHAT IF ?—- think,—- is that a headache or what!!!!
At 88 and climbing there’s not much chance of treatment—— it’s either the ice floe or the bolt gun, I’m not under any illusions!
    Food for thought Putetre ?

Guess were all guilty Pilgrim—— but it’s human nature to blame everyone else!
Two weeks ago tomorrow——- my son Mark and daughter SAm were cruising the waterways around florida? Marks lived there for over twenty years and claimed he had never seen so many people out partying and boating——- bet there’s no one out there this Saturday!

Didn’t realise Christian was in hospital Gene, - knew he had a really bad dose of the virus, but that’s all!
Sam distributes supplies to the NHS all over the country—-some pretty grim deliveries at the moment.
She ships live organs nationwide for the NHS—- these have a very short life span—-Tragic side to all this is that all organ transplants have been put on hold—— so all the organs will go to waste!
Todays figures make for some terrible reading—— with worse to come!

It’s now beginning to feel like Martial Law is here——- beautiful day but nobody about—— all the neighbours cars are parked in their own drive——- but they don’t move !
Jill went to take the dog up into Slindon Forest for a walk—— car is dead as a dodo.
Its all very well having an all singing and dancing late model automobile—- until the battery dies—— that’s when the fun and games start!
Simples—— just put the battery on charge overnight——— where’s the battery? ——- in the boot—— Ok, then open the boot (Trunk) ——- back door does not have a key lock—- only electronic entry??
Who was the bright bugger that designed that?
After lifting out the box that Contains the jump leads—— tow rope—— anti— freeze—- drinking water and blankets ——- shovel and scraper——- six plastic shopping bags and a tin of dog biscuits, lm half way there
So I disconnect the dog blanket that’s firmly attached to the headrest before I can lower the rear split seat and climb over the back —- undo the fancy screws that are one touch up and down —— then the battery cover and bingo, there it is, the cause of all the trouble—— a flat friggin battery.
My knees will never be the same again——- after ten minutes, it’s possible to open the rear door and get the house in order.
Problem was, the car hadn’t been out for a long run for three weeks——— damn thing is bristling with electronics——- heart of the car is the battery ——- when it dies——- so does the car!
Moral here is—— if you don’t want problems——- isolate the battery when not in use!!!
Just be ready to reprogram the management systems when you fire it up again!
