But as there’s not a great deal of other news, the media is grasping at straws and scaring the pants of gullible readers.

Now we are facing total shutdown—- people not responding to the two metre distance rule—- London tube trains packed—— essential workers children only allowed in schools, ( suddenly every mother is an “essential worker”
We are still allowed out once a day for exercise—- that’s it—- stay indoors and go stir crazy the rest of the time????
50,000 Tasers being issued to police officers—— no,—— english policeman do not carry guns—- but those damned tasers can kill an older person, or someone with a dodgy ticker just as easy as a six gun.
Martial law is getting closer——— I can feel it in my water!!!

Had a “Tranquil “ morning in the shop—- it seems so much bigger since I cleaned it up——- it’s a joy to have a free and clear worktop ( reminds me whe I used to go to Raistrick from the Brighouse school for metalwork lessons———— master always insisted we left the place exactly as we found it !
Nothing like early learning —— it stays with you for ever.
Doesn't mean you’ll always abide by the teachings, but if you did, you’d make life a lot easier!
Im attacking the work at a much steadier rate of knots now——- I’ve got time to stop and smell the roses, stand back and admire the progress——- finished product should benefit enormously from this!.
Theres no crap on the shop floor whatsoever—— Mats in in front of the vice and lathe—— how cool is that?

You had me wondering if you’d actually lost a few marbles—— you shouldn’t need me to tell you to always read through a post before you actually post it.
No, not really Pilgrim—— these are the old fashioned wooden shields, eth a metal insert stuck in the middle—— cheap and cheerful—— must club races were awarded trophies down to third place.
It was priceless back in the day when you won of these. My heart just wouldn’t be in it .They didn’t have any value whatsoever except to the recipient!

Remember I told you I sold the South Bend to a lad in China——- today, he FaceTimed me——- this time without a face mask. I commented on this, he told me In China— Coronavirus is no longer—- no new cases for three days——- ITS OVER ,!!!?? Could it possibly be there’s a light at the end of the tunnel?
Yesterday, there were 87 new cases in the UK —— today—- 44—— it’s still 44 too many, but it does spark a glimmer of hope.
Thank God for the decent weather —— shudder to think what the despondency would have been like if it had been raining all the time.
We just have a weekly delivery of groceries now——larder has always been well stocked and the deep freeze fridge is full to busting—— but it always has been!
Progress in the shop is steady—— must say, I’m more relaxed about the stuff i do.
Don't exactly “Rush” out there in the morning—-I also manage to knock off early and sink a large one before dinner.
Did wonder if the world would ever get back to being NORMAL ,
Sheets seem to hang on a little longer—- I take longer to prepare for the day—- I savour breakfast these days—— take a last look at the iPad, ( Well, Peters or Pilgrim—- maybe even Fuji might have dropped me a line).—— before I Don the work gear and meander out to the shop !

After all the deaths in China Pilgrim——- if there’s no more people caught the virus in the last three days——— it has to be a good sign ?
plus, with only half the cases that contacted the virus yesterday in the UK , as compared to previous days I’m taking that as a turning of the tide!!

Spain took a big hit with over 600 fatalities today——- ITALY still losing large numbers—- seems it takes twelve weeks before we get over the hump.
Ive been isolated for five weeks now——- last two have been total—- must be working, I’m still here.

Mother nature just ignores the chaos she’s created ! Could be her way of a clean up— I know nothing!
