    Flying trivia
There is/was an ozzie pilot that has flown a Spitfire and Mustang and a Messerschmidt in combat
    How did he do that?

Went to the motor racing circuit at Goodwood with Daughter Sam .
Was meant to go down to Poole and visit Christian Tolls factory, where he is currently rebuilding a 36’ Cigarette——— at the invitation of Jeff Hall.
Through various cock ups—- mainly of my own making, it didn’t happen—— so we ended up at Goodwood.
Today is the Poole 100 ——- had an invite to go out on the DRI MARTINI support boat—— but, I got my knickers in a twist and that’s not going to happen either.
Still—— I do get to spend a full day working on the pair of Silver ghosts.

Not many people know that the Poole 100 was run in 1959 for the DUCHESS OF YORK Trophy——- it was won by BOB MAY driving THE YELLOW PERIL a 16’ fabricated plastics “Derry” boat.
Tell you this as it was my first raceboat——- I bought it from Bob, complete with a 700 Mercury——- the romance with Mercury began!

See Miss Geico won the superboat race at St, Pete’s yesterday——— don’t know what the opposition was like ?
Last time out they lost a prop due to “log hunting”—— can happen to anybody.
Not much info being put out——-
A wins a win against stiff opposition——- but if it’s against a KT and a couple of Jersey Skiffs—— then no wonder there’s no flags out ?

Put a few more hours into the “silver Ghost” project yesterday——- maybe I should just send it to Schubert for detailing !
Everytime I have a problem——- I find a better way of doing things—— so , at the end of the day I’m no further forward !
Crap weather here in England—— but the garden could do with a few days rain—— Eve spends a fortune on plants and soil and fertiliser—— then we have to pay extra for water!

Hired a van for transport. Traffic was a mess for our driver. Staying about 100 yards from Trafalgar Square. I thought this was standard weather hereabouts.

No, not really, we’ve had great summers for the last couple of years.
Traffics always a mess in London—— Why on earth would you choose to stay in Trafalgar square ?
Everybody should hire a van—— when push comes to shove you can always sleep in the-van?

Ah well I’ve done it again——- got into it with Rich AND Brownie——- wish I could keep my trap shut—- but I still can’t—— even after all these years!
Vettel is top driver for Rich—— but me being English Think Hamilton is the dogs cajones—— so we are never going to agree on F1 happenstances.
Brownie is laying into Britain and it’s history due to a lunatic fringe that gave Donald a hard time!

Generally speaking—- President Trump was well. Received——- unfortunately in this day and age freedom of speech has gone well well beyond the pale and we have a lunatic fringe here that protest everything from crappy nappies to controversial presidents.
But believe me —— England as a nation is alive and well——-

Anyone is welcome to join in this discussion———- get your index finger pounding the keys!

I stopped watching F1 seriously a couple of years back —— I had my reasons —— but Lewis has gone from strength to strength as a driver, heading to be the best of all time. Some people will hate him because of this ( some will always hate the successful in any walk of life).
Whats he won of late———- from memory I think he’s won ten out of the last sixteen —- Vettel —- none ——-Seb seems to be making more and more errors and cracking under pressure, as was the case in Spain.
Wont be long before Ferrari offer Hamilton the keys to the kingdom.

Now—- Brownie reminds me that Britain once ruled the world—— but now lives on a tiny island the size of Manhattan———- I reminded him we have lived on this little island for thousands of years .

Now looking back through history at nations who ruled the world ——- from the mongols —— gengis khan ——— Alex the great——— Romans — Greeks ? Every dog had his day—— but as my sainted mother used to say “NOTHING LASTS FOREVER”.

Anyone that thinks that Vettel did not know exactly what he was doing after blowing that corner and gunning it across the grass to pinch Hamilton into the wall is fooling themselves. The throttle plots for both will tell the tale...Vettel jumping into it and Hamilton having to back out of it to avoid him. With that being said though, if Vettel had taken Hamilton out by his maneuver, then what consequence?

I tend to agree with you Crisis——— but there are a lot of influential people and old race drivers who side with Vettel——- not least Jackie Stewart !
Start of the Problem was The extreme pressure Lewis put on to Seb——- he was hassled into the mistake.
As to what would have happened if he’d taken Hamilton out ——— nothing ever happened when Schumacher threw his car across the track and took Hill out——- Schumacher took the title !!!
As my sainted mother used to says “all’s fair in Love and war and F1”.
