What happened to the GMC motorhome?

Damned if I can remember where it went to—— been racking the grey cells, but they’re on strike!
Did buy another some twenty years later which was much faster——- had a Holley —-edelbrock cams and headers.
Actually pulled 100 mph towing a boat——- and I made money selling it on!

Just talked to Mark——- on His way back from the final test with the Donzi 44.
Its all ready to hand over to the press gang——- everybody scrambling to get their hands on it before the WEST PALM BOAT SHOW ——- third weekend of March.
Im sure you’ve all seen many piccies of the boat before—— so I won’t bother you with any.
My own project is progressing nicely as they say——— leather is not easy to work with——- did get all the centre console and deck rails done——- so they’re ’s been some progress.
Slowly — slowly—— catchee monkey ?...??? Ridiculous bloody saying !

Might just give the car boot a miss today——- it’s not cold —— but it’s drizzling and miserable out there.
Dont need any metal——- and I do have lots of cleaning up to do.
Daffodils are in full swing—— snowdrops and crocuses are just about done——- cut the grass for the first time this year, all the tulips are looking healthy, and the hawthorn is just about showing.
All signs that spring is well and truly here.
Done a second “Sailing” trophy for Roy Cooper at Fast on water——— funny how he never asks for a power boat trophy. I never did have the inclination to create a “JW “ trophy !
I saw Jim Hausers trophy stuck in the Gieco trophy room———- it’s supposed to be an old farts trophy——— Jim was supposed to decide who it was awarded to each year.
Doesnt want to be “LOST” amongst the Geico memorabilia!

Sometimes, I get to wondering if I’ll ever make another Tavares——— Seebold and I got to talking—— wondered if there would be any continuation with “OFF” ——- or if it would slip into obscurity!
There was a good turn out of bodies at Lake X—— but——- just a gut feeling !
Did do the car boot——- guess I’m just a car boot addict——- bought a bunch of stufff————— wonder how long it’ll be under the bench before I decide to get rid of it——— Along with all the previous junk I’ve bought and stuffed under there?
Suppose I ought to show a piccie or two of the present project——— it’s only a five engined centre console——— so there won’t be much call for it !
Did buy an amazing remote control raceboat—— two foot long with a pair of engines——- props—— fantastic screen———-Made in China——- all for a fiver——- makes me wonder why I bother?

When I swopped the Purdy for the Tiger——- I had mixed feelings, wondered if I’d done the right thing,
the bike had 18 miles on it from new and was perfect !
When I sold it, many years later, the clock had 45 miles on it.
Put them side by side today——- the gun probably has the edge—- mainly “snob” value—- the bike is truly “enthusiast” value !

Youngest daughter Sam playing with a big old flatfish——- as a father, I can’t help but remember Steve Irwin getting struck in the chest by a stingrays tail—— result was fatal! But she wouldn’t listen to me anyway.
Still, going to see her later today—— she’s back from the Cayman Islands.

Another old friend——- ran an inboard—— gorgeous wife—— Richard??? Original LMBRC MEMBER FROM THE EARLY 60/s—— I will remember his name .
He ran in Paris————- bugger, who said it was fun growing old——— lying bastards!

Thought about the guy in the red jacket all night long—— we were friends for years—— our families hung about at Iver together——-Bob May, Johnny Hulme, Ron Liechen, Jimmy James, Den Burton, Paddy Manton, Trevor Fox, Ted Dickens, Peter Benstead,Ron and Mary Elliot, Eric Weston, Peter Sabberton, ( Plus many more I’ve long forgotten) all drove INBOARDS at Iver ! So did the lad in the red jacket !
Put me out of my misery——- who is he—— what’s his name?
