Jackie
I took a look at your lack of stiffness problem. I prescribe 3D print viagra. The settings I sent in the gcode were a best guess and when I checked the infill settings were very low. I had assumed you would use the .STL and generate your own code but maybe that is expecting a bit much at the moment. I have placed 2 new models in the dropbox for you to try. Please print No support first as that will be the easiest to finish. Then try support. There will be some post processing as the blades are modelled as a prop would be so the blades taper to nothing, there will be feathering as the resolution of the printer cannot create a perfect edge. Perhaps you know a decent prop man that could do you a bluprinting job LOL.
Happy Printing

Jesus Wept TT ——- I only knew it was G code because the read out told me so. STL? And generate my own code ? FECKIN heart rate just went through the roof! I’m just a middle aged ordinary sort of person trying to keep up with the rest of the world which is on the next roller coaster to me but going twice the speed !
Love “Post Processing “—— you mean finishing ?
Always did my own props—— usually screwed up the perfect prop that Rolla had given me—— but, you have to try what you believe in !
So yes, I do think I can find a half decent “prop man”——- blueprinting—— debatable!
Thanks for all your help .

It’s obvious to me I need one of my grandkids help if I’m ever going to understand how a 3DP operates, this new generation of kids—- although they lack the basic “common sense” knowledge that was bestowed upon me ( manners, geography, nature, humility and respect ) they are technology wise.
To see a teenager with a lap top or an iPhone is indeed something to behold—— would put a 200 word a minute stenographer to shame !
But—— I’m glad I was born when I was——- I still reckon it’s been the best time in the last two thousand years——— without question!
So, I may be a little dumb—- a little slow on the uptake—- but kids today will never be as smart as me!
I look At UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE occasionally and although they can tell you the molecular structure of a dead mouse on mars———— they have no idea of the ingredients of a loaf of bread !
Common sense went out of the window today !

Well.——- that went down like a turd in a punch bowl ?
As usual—— very few people agree with me !
Started on the Donzie forty four back end of last week—— it’s on a very salubrious six wheel trailer, whole thing is alluminium with Feck off wheels and state of the art pneumatics.—- only in the USA!
Got to thinking “ I could do that” —— make a good job of the trailer and maybe nobody will bother to look too closely at the concept !
Turned out eight alloy wheels —— fitted the sealed bearings ——- turned up three axles —— raided the alloy store and found enough to make a half tidy chassis and we’re away with the mixer— ( building phrase used in the building industry) Stick with me and I’ll teach you more than any Ivy League Sanitarium ever could !
by the time the Miami Show opens, I should have a half decent concept of the 44 Donzi on display here in West Sussex!
Little Red Butler trailor Co —— in Fon Du Lac Wisconsin sent me the drawings for the trailer —— nice of them wasn’t it?

Full day at the shop——- still Not enough to get the project anywhere near ready for a phoggie!
Illjust have to face up to the fact that I’m not the man I once was———- neither am I as good as I thought I was.
Time whistle’s by and the planned projects don’t advance anywhere near as fast as I want.—— was a time when I could whistle up a trailer in a day——— been three on this one, and still not complete !
Buggered up six windshields up to now and still haven’t got the one I want !
Never done a carbon concept before——— thought I could beat the system—— while it’s close——— close enough is Only good enough in horse shoes and hand grenades ?
Bottom line is—— I’m struggling—— stretched capabilities to the limit and beyond——- have to find a happy medium somewhere along the line .

Apparently we’re eating out for lunch today——— 47 Mussel Row in littlehampton.
Would appear her majesty thinks it’s the only way she can drag me out of the shop—-bribery—- a free lunch and a pint of beer, plus dining with friends.
Must confess, dining out doesn’t really thrill me anymore—— why would it when the kitchen goddess can rustle up a meal out of nowhere in no time for a tenth of what it costs you to eat out, and can cook better than Gordon Ramsey or Jamie Oliver will ever know how !
When we lived in France, a bottle of the local PICPOUL would cost three to five dollars —— most eating houses charge between $25/40 a bottle——- which does not make me a happy bunny.
Theres profit——- and there’s extortion!
Meeting a guy at 9 am who has just bought out a joiners shop in Redhill—— claims to have 100 pallets of joinery quality timber———- might just have something I could use. Let you know it it’s a bonanza or firewood!Last edited by jackiewilson; 02-15-2019 at 02:39 AM. Reason: Spelling

Slow progress with the carbon tunnel—— the LILREDBUTLER trailer came together just fine.
Damned if I can get that blasted screen right !
Spent most of the day fixing the cockpit—— Been a right royal pain in the arse—— hate it when a plan doesn’t come together!
Sorry for the lack of correspondence lately——- been up to my fetlocks in a concept that doesn’t want to be——- I’ve threatened it with the bin, that didn’t work either.
Come hell and high water—- need to get it done before the Miami Boat Show closes——- Nobody has any idea about this, be interesting to read what everyone thinks about it——- trailers bloody good anyway——- maybe I’ll have a mad fit of depression and run the final mile in under four ?Last edited by jackiewilson; 02-16-2019 at 05:11 PM. Finally had to chuck out the triple screen idea——- way beyond my capabilities.
First time I tried working with carbon——— I was a tad heavy handed ——- with carbon you have to be super clean——wear surgical gloves and change them regularly.
As my old teacher used to say —— “COULD DO BETTER”.
Think I ve found the screen I want to make——— that’s the pattern ——- has a removable cell cover.
Was also in too much of a rush with the white leather bucket seats ——- but I’ll nail it next time !
Trailer came out well ——- as Butler knows, one of the worlds finest advertising platforms!
