Bloody Thursday again already——- and it’s raining——- dog walking can wait until after the car boot sale, no need to water the garden———
Made big inroads into the concept——- there’s a bit of everything in it——- enjoyed taking time with it, working out the complexities and secret fixing———- have six coats of clear on the sponsons—— still nowhere near as to where I’d like it to be !
Time to rise and shine and wring the best out of the day—— you never know what’s coming until it hits you full on—— or you take evasive measures and it misses you this time !

Not many at the car boot sale today——- rained all the time—— by Eight thirty most of the stalls were closing down and heading home.
Picked up a shed load of blue glass————didn’t pay much for it as everyone was soaked to the skin and wanted out!
Going to the funeral of my next door neighbor Margaret today in arundel —— said I wasn’t going to anymore funerals———— best laid plans of mice and men?
Latest concept came along in leaps and bounds—— found a couple of plexiglass fighter canopies——— was able to cobble a nice screen out of one of them, might show it to you over the weekend!

Got an Email from Billy yesterday——- got him and Lynne involved in a mighty road accident——- they walked away from it unscathed thank God.
Things that old racers do to stop being forgotten altogether is unbelievable!
Told me he’s going to Tavares in November if it’s all settled—— yes I would like to go—- just have to wait and see how the dice rolls!
Grim Reaper looks like he’s got other fish in his net so he’s left me alone recently——— but the sneaky old bastard can pop up out of nowhere when you least expect it——- so I’m keeping a beady eye on him.

Mark sent me an email with a u tube video of the Paris six hours——- it was like stepping back in time !

Well, there goes Saturday for what it’s worth—— bought a rake of Tiffany and Murano—— Sams now called a halt to any more glassware——— house is heaving.
Ordered a brand fire new belt and disc sander from the Czech Republic——- it came snail mail and arrived today——- unpacked it —— took one look and nearly repacked it. If you think Chinky goods are crap——- it’s John Deere quality compared to Checko. ——— why put a decent motor on a device when a sewing machine motor with a 375 label on it just about turns the disc but actually struggles to
start the belt!
Ah well, you get what you pay for !
Yanks have always had the philosophy that “ You can do a little job on a big machine——- but you can’t do a big job on a little machine”——— Sound philosophy!
It worked for fifty years before the Japs came along and showed them different————- then the chinks upset the Apple cart by making things cheaper——- next came the Korrys with a bit cheaper still but with a tad better quality——- and gradually begins the destruction from within.
I made a stonking good job of making my own 6” disc grinder, might have to make a linisher myself to get what I’m looking for.
Mark is still on schedule to visit us a week on Wednesday—— I’ll believe it when I see the whites of his eyes, not before
Now have six coats of wax polish on the sponsons——- have to tell you it “Feels” so right ANDit has the right Patina——— beginning to look the way I wanted. Just won’t do white leather upholstery on the roof of the Bimini again——- looked spot on for the first hour or so, then got the Wilson dirty fingerprints trademarks embedded in it——- big mistake, hope nobody looks under the lid of the Bimini.
We have torrential downpours forecast for the next two days, probably the end of our glorious summer, Im still in shorts as the temperature is still way over seventy——- I feel very Floridian ?

weve had a marvellous summer——— almost three months of me wearing shorts? Weather, unheard of in England since 1976. Lots of days over ninety, With none of the humidity you get in florida.
Spent a fair amount of time at the beach house in Elmer——— something I never had time for before.
Kim and Boo went up to Oulton Broad On Thursday evening to watch them race for “THE BOB SPALDING” Trophy——— they met up with the Spalding girls again. As kids they travelled all over Europe together———— Never once had a complaint about any of the kids missing school in those days, I still reckon they all learned more travelling than they did at a school desk. Course we wouldn’t get away with it today———— we would probably be put in jail for being “Irresponsible”——— more PC bullish-t —————- those were the days when common sense prevailed—— when a clip round the ear and parent responsibilities were the rule and drugs were only for hospital use !
Mounting the concept today——- glass base——- then some metal——- a touch of angle ——- and who knows what we’ll end up with?
Oh well, jolly hockey sticks——- time for dog walkies———- and her lady ship is leading the way. That means another two mile hike, I’ll be bloody glad when she’s allowed to drive again ?
Next week is all hospital and consultations—— I can remember when I was happy and life was “NORMAL”———— one day?????.

Sorry for being a tad late with today’s offerings——— just another day for me and Jill in Paradise .
Jilly was tossing and turning most the night and obviously in a lot of pain. Around 6:30am I got up to make her morning coffee———NOT FOR ME !——- that’s when I knew something was really wrong!
OK, on a scale of one to ten, how bad is it? ————- the full ten darling!!!
30 minutes later we were in A&E—— no traffic , even the hospital was empty ! Five minutes and she was on a bed———— bloods taken and morphine and bags of clear going through the tubes and into her arm and neck.
I stayed with her until Ten, but I was like a spare dick at a wedding ——- simply in the way, she told me to go home, so I did——— was back there again by one thirty, she was nil by mouth, full of pills and puking. Stayed until four——- doctors coming and going—— a lot of head scratching and note taking but not a lot else. I started asking questions and making a fuss——— the Boss yelled, Go Home, you’re not helping ! So , it’s now 1900 hrs and no news yet!
Twould appear the gall stones decided to play marbles inside the kidneys and created mayhem and more than a little pain!
Got a list a mile long to take in when I go back—— just waiting to hear what’s happening before I leave.
