Today I got my first “Investment” plan for my own funeral.——— Age concern have offered me a “once in a lifetime” chance to pay for my own funeral so as not to burden my surviving relatives with the cost of getting shot of me. NO SH-T SHERLOCK,!
Cant Believe they actually contacted me by post, outlining a plan that is meant to help my family——- bugger them sunshine——- what about ME ?
End of the day, it’ll be me that has to dib up for it anyway——— no such thing as a free funeral.

In the end analysis Gene we’re all in the book of “Demographics”——- when you gotta go——— you gotta go. But I’m damned if I’m going to get screwed on the way out !
Anyway, I’m to young to be old just yet——- so I don’t need any of that “AGE CONCERN” crap chucked at me———- tends to make me a tad PRISSY.

Oh what a beautiful morning——— oh what a beautiful day. That big ball of fire is shining through the window and it’s only 6:30am. I’m told it’s the start of two weeks of hot weather that’s about to bless these shores with temperatures into the 80/‘s! You don’t get many of those in an English summer.

Racing starts again in the Miami Marine Stadium this weekend—— Craig hopes to have the last P1 re-hulled so all the boats are equal——— or as near as it’s humanly possible to get them.
He won’t be competing in the series——- far too busy getting Wilson Composite up and running.
They just finished ten P1/s with another ten ordered. Next up is the forty foot tunnel with the four four hundreds on its bum——- that should be one quick SOB outfit.
Thats on top of all the secret sh-t I’m not allowed to tell you about.
Daughter Sam flies out to Florida today to spend time with Mark——- nice to see the kids visiting each other, after all, that’s what family is all about.
Mark and Craig are coming over to visit end of May beginning of June for a week——- they both claim that’s all the time they can take off.
Ill have to look in my diary to see if I can fit them in ?????

Jackie. Thanks for the info on the P1 race this weekend. If I can manage to get down there I will. Not much interested in the PWC racing but it would be good to see boats racing at the stadium once again.

Was sad that Craig wasn’t racing in the P1 series———- but, we all know that “politics” can screw anything———-
Hope you enjoy being back at the stadium again——— was always a great place to race——— once you were out of the stadium——- it was more like Offshore!
Last time I was there was in the late 80/s——- was when we held a FONDA race there, Walt Yarborough was boing the commentary——— over twenty boats from all over the world——- a truly international field of Power boats!
Dont know if there’s any “LIVE STREAMING” at any time over the weekend!

Arthur was a great character——- helped me a lot in the early days.

Is your grandson building the P1 boats from scratch or is he rigging all of them?

Craig and Mark have developed a carbon fibre/infusion system that’s taken the marine industry by storm. Asif the promoter decided that he would re Hull all the existing P1 boats, losing hundreds of pounds in weight and making all the boats equal . Then they have to be rigged.
Now that jobs completed, next up are ten P1 boats for India——-with China also wanting to start a series .
Cant tell you anything else that’s going on ——— or I could wind up in cyber space without a toilet—— but it will all become clear in the next few months.

Having built fiberglass boats in the 70s I can tell you keeping weight from creeping into each boat is not easy. When we would build a light race boat it was all hands on deck for the layup. Brushes rollers and squeegees to get every last drop of excess resin out the boat. Took twice as many people to build a light boat as a regular production boat.

Jackie...don't you think that the time has come to give Willabee an unconditional pardon? He has been noticeably absent ever since you banished him to the naughty step for forty years...

Bob, Welch and me have been friends for nigh on fifty years——— if I ever tried to put him on the naughty step he wouldn’t go anyway.
If Willabee’s not talking, then it’s because that’s the way he wants it—— he wants a quiet time.
When he’s good and ready, he’ll make his presence felt.
But just for you Bob———- I do declare Bill can come in from the cold—I grant him absolution and a free pardon—-he is no longer banished to the naughty step.

Jackie - I know that in the early years, you drove a lot of different hull / engine combinations. Looking back, which one did you enjoy driving the most, not including the Cosworth?
