Differing viewpoints on subjects is all part of everyday life as we've all figured out...It's when it gets personal that things can turn nasty.. be we don't
    use that road..

There is some cracking photos on that OMC thread though.......

Yeah, have to admit Lasse has a great collection of historical circuit outboard racing pics.
Him and Fujimo can dominate S&F for years to come.
All he has to do is get his thread into the "STICKIE" category-------that'll bump him up to a top four spot. Nobody got near WILLABEE yet-----he's well over 600,000 hits-------nobody within 200,000 of him yet!
Will try and make the OFF meeting on the 3rd of November in Stuart.
I usually try and get a little golf tourney running for the meet, but I must confess, I haven't given it a second thought this time round..
Beavered away in the shop this morning-------- it's readY for a royal visit, . Resting from alll activities at the moment, nothing planned, and a clean and tidy shop to boot!
No doubt someone somewhere will come up with a daft idea !

    Jackie,

Where did you hear that the OFF gathering has been re-scheduled to Nov. 3 & in Stuart? I assume Mark's place?

Hiya John, Charlie Wolfe has made space for OFF at the Stuart Air show-----he normally throws a party for about 100 guests on the Friday night---------Saturday night is for the old farts!
Its all in the 2017 OFF meeting thread on Scream and Fly----- I saw it on there yesterday.
Dont think Marks aware of this yet-------- he has moved premises to Port St. Lucie------just off the airfield there.!

Spoke with Mark yesterday, told him that the OFF meeting will be in Stuart on November 3rd. He did say that he wasn't in any fit state at the new plant to invite the old farts, but he would welcome them next year, once the production line was up and running.
Nothing I can say or do will ease the pain and sorrow of the families affected by the massacre in Las Vegas. It's the place where adventurous people from all over the world go to have fun.
I'm not getting into the "Guns" debate-----that's America's problem, and theirs alone, folk like me do not have the right to even comment.
On the workshop front, I don't have anything productive planned, nothing in the pipeline, ideas dried up, can't work up any enthusiasm. I even stay in bed the extra half hour, doing my one finger pounding of The IPad. Even that doesn't help.
Read the S&F pages-------some of the stuff in there gets me ticking-----I quietly think to myself, that's not right------they got that wrong ------ what a load of bollocks that is !!! Then I sometimes have to open my mouth, which leads to some disagreement and confrontation.
My kids often ask me, why I'm so contentious------I don't really know-----I always thought of myself as a middle of the road, average sort of person who just used to go boat racing for fun and have a few memories of "back in the day".

Dont seem like a lot, but that's the sum total of my efforts since the end of June-----that was when "TERRA FIRMA" ( Mother Earth ) and my right hand had a coming together which left me with the "POORLIE PAW ". That by the way, is well on the way to a full recovery. About ninety five per cent !
Now, all I have to do is get the "THINK BOX" back up and running------I might get back to life being on an even keel.

Well, the damn things were the right way up when I posted them.
I keep telling myself it's a "CYBERSPACE" thing--------Bob V said he would teach me to straighten things out-------he never did.

I forgot about this one, ------ did it for James after he won the Cowes/Torquay ( he's now driving the big "MISS GIECO" with Stevie Curtain ).

Had enough finger pounding for today-----not commenting on Lassie's column any more, it always gets me into trouble and I don't fall out with friends.-----(often) ?

OK Bob, you are As of now free to step down off the naughty step-----Gene has been off it since his 86 th birthday. Be a long time before I get to his age.
Theres been the last knockings of a huge piece of oak I've been carving boats out of for the last nine months-----I'd been cutting all round the edge of a really knarled old piece with a huge shake up the centre, was really only any good for putting on the stove-------don't know why, but every time I looked at it, the thing reminded me of Gene ?
Well, Gene reminds me of Wings------ I started "Fernagling" and after a morning , sawing, shaping, and farting about, I got one sponson of a Switzer-------the box is ticking again. Was only a question of time--------but that's a rare commodity these days.
Let's see how it transpires-------there's always room for a wing-----don't think Kenny has one !

Now there are two -------sponsons that is. Not quite as long as the recent efforts, but what it lacks in overall size,it more than makes up for in character and figuring.
Stainless Centre section and a pair of straight six lumps on its rear. I've done these before, but think I can produce something a bit special here.
Will try and keep these totally all wood finish--------don't really want to paint them black, but they have to come out like showstoppers or they're powder coated!
Not worth showing piccies at this stage of the game !
Was just nice to pickup the tools again and watch something transpire out of a lump of firewood. That's always very satisfying. Not jumping over beer barrels just yet, but maybe I have something a bit special going down here.
No insurance company in the world will give an 85 year old with TIA history, medical insurance, AT ANY PRICE. Don't look like I'll be making the OFF meeting. Haven't thrown in the towel yet, but the outlook looks a tad bleak.
Decided it's best to stay away from OMC sites-----I just get into trouble,no matter how hard I try to be reasonable.

This is what autumn in England looks like right now.
Jillys "PASCAL" looks decidedly bloody cold !
the last of the roses and the agapanthus-------dog roses do make the best HIPS,
As a lad, I used to make "itching powder " out of the buds.
Menough of all this horticultural business------I've got a couple of wings to sort out in the shop ?

OK, here's a little poser--------anybody know what this is?

Had a great day in the shop-------today I ate "Grissly" -------not often I have the golden touch, that's where you actually achieve the things you set out to do.
Put stacks on the straight sixes---------mastered the art of building a wing, without a single fixing showing anywhere--------English oak hulls have a see through mirror finish------ Schubert would be proud of me.
Might even build a custom trailer------but now I'm getting ahead of myself.
Forecast for tomorrow is rain and high winds-------no way am I going foraging at the car boot sale if it's chucking it down------things ain't that tough.
