Exactly Gene. Who cares. I know/knew all of them. Most were not around 188 in the last years Don was there. I know. I was there. Knocky(Norris)was also my neighbor up til he died. His wife Valerie died in 2015. It will be a VERY loose FICTIONAL movie story. No accuracy what-so-ever. Just sit back & enjoy another modern day piece of exaggerated, computer digitized entertainment.

Gene, did you know an older crusty Italian guy on 188th, that was friends & worked for Don, towing around and/or delivering new boats, with his old brown F-250 Ford pick-up? Not sure how to spell his last name exactly, but his name was Mike Casasio(?) Still have a Delta band saw I bought from him.

Now I've read some of the Aronow story-----seems like every historian has his own version of events of the same story!
Should be a fun movie to watch, and even more fun listening to the comments.
Pruett took me -----to see the APACHE SET up down in Miami .
Was invited as a guest to the APBA MEETING, Ben Kramer told Pruett-------stay away from 144th street after dark.

Take Trivolta out of "Grease" and he's still a 70/s Quiffy hair do!
Travolta was brilliant in Face off, he also did very well in the Bill Clinton biopic, and as the villsinous airforce pilot in broken Arrow... Dont underestimate him.

Yes! Forgot all about "John The Welder" ...and thats exactly what everyone called him, lol. Excellent welder, metal worker. He did ALL the mold piping & supports, trailers, cradles, beams, etc. on the entire street for years for everybody. He did well for himself there. $$$

When the Cosworth was coming together------the pipework was a work of art----symmetrical, flowing and quite beautiful. I asked Malcom TYRRELL "who fabricated the exhaust system" ? Was told it was "MIKE THE PIPE"
Thank you to everyone for all your comments on "Cigarette", not only was it interesting and informative, it kept the old "Tricks" thread alive. It was near dead on its feet, (bit like the old farts themselves) before that!
Saturday means "Forage" day at the scrapyard-----time to shift and shine-----see what exciting stuff we can uncover!

Reggie is far too busy for even a starring role in "Cigarette"-----he's suddenly right back in vogue----in charge, alive, well and active, right on top of his game. As far as I can tell , there's nobody wanting to fill him full of holes either, ( been behaving himself with the ladies) that alone is an added bonus these days !
Stevie Curtis is a busyboy these days-------doing the Cowes ---Torquay in that old Couger again . Looks like he's throttling for Gieco with Johnny Tomlinson after that!
Ritchie Powers is back in the saddle next week end or the one after that------Pity its such a piss poor entry field------there were nine entries, but one dropped out already. Far cry from the heady days of The fifties when there were fifty or sixty entries!
Not going to be a very spectacular start. Sign of the times I suppose.
Went across to Shoreham for lunch on Saturday to the "INTO THE BLUE"------ very good sea food----can recommend it!
Sunday again, time to pick up the Sunday papers and comics-----do the crossword------getting to be a real creature of habit these days------time I got a bit more adventurous-----seem to have got stuck in a rut lately.

Daughter Sam got a "Laser" sailboat today------Brother in law Fishie was teaching everyone how to sail. Needs to warm up by another ten degrees before I get excited.
One of the sports I never found time for, if it warms up, I may take a punt at it------for the moment I'll pass !
