Another "Climbing Walls" day-------whilst the poorly paw is on the mend, it's not ready to push and pull yet. Plus the fact that her who shall be obeyed has decreed the shop to be a no go area under threat of violent bodily harm !
Might try a spell behind the wheel of the trusty Lexus today-----been 10 days since since I sat behind a wheel------beginning to wonder if I can still remember how to .
Read three books last week------format for all three was the same-----tough guy, nasty men, sexy bird, happy ending-------early western movies all over again --------just swop Buck Jones and Gene Autry for Johnny Depp and Clooney !

Maybe I should try a novel, anyone of the guys I ever met have more interesting lives than the Jessie's they got poncing about these days.

Kitchen goddess has gone shopping, supplies, fruit and veg, wine and whusky, did I want to come ?

I figured she'd put the workshop keys in her handbag, so I left the back door of the shop unlocked yesterday when she wasn't looking-------eat your heart out Huck Finn!
Had just started on another tunnel concept for John Schubert to finish, before all this rigmarole started, it's made out of some of the finest figured English oak I ever did come across and I've been itching to get back to it for a while. Minute she walked out the door------i was a man of distinction -------went in there like a long dog.
Here I am two hours later------resting in my retirement chair------yes, made inroads into the project, when she comes back, I'll ask if I can go and clean up the workshop for just a hour or so ? I really don't think MarkTwain could have done any better?

Thanks for the words of wisdom Johnno------are you sure you're not related to the love of my life, her who shall be obeyed at all times, her majesty the kitchen goddess. I am being told the exact same thing, over and over, I'm beginning to think there may be a modicum of truth in it !
Still have so far to go------so many things left to do----- places to go------people to see-----dresses to try on, (colloquially speaking of coarse).
I already quit doing lots of things I did when I was young------I don't drive boats, fast cars or helicopters any more------don't chase good looking girls any more ------ no more 13 hour flights to California------I quit smoking and sugar in my coffee over 30 years ago.
Got out of the fast lane a while back and moved to the centre lane------maybe it's time I moved into the inside lane ! Trouble is Johnno, after that, there's only the hard shoulder left --------you can get hurt bad if you stop for long in that one !
Was always an "all or nothing"sort of person my friend, self opinionated, argumentative, ( as you know from our first ever confrontation) so if and when that sneaky bastard reaper gets here-------I'm only going one way-------- with all the aches and pains, but kicking and screaming.

Best sweet peas ive had for years-------long stems and four flowers on each.
Used to spend a fortune on desIgner sweet peas that never amounted to much anyway, got this lot from the car boot sale for shirt buttons.
If Coco C. Could bottle the scent-------no telling how big the shop would be now.

This is one of the many Hydrangea we have dotted around the back garden-------the red flowers are Bergamot ------right outside my workshop back door.

Today we have Lizzie------at 9:30 she leaves for play school, that means I Can get a couple of hours in the shop---------if I take it nice--n -----easy, I can do this.
Did better that that, got two and a half hours on the Twin Rude Tunnel -----cooking with gas again, albeit on the slow burner.
Need to get the "Poorly Paw" back into the "Mighty Mitt" again anytime soon !
weather back to nut freezing time again, temperature dropped by 20 degrees overnight .
Last five days of Wimbledon------Nadal gone, its all to play for. Seems like you can limp yourself into the first round and get paid $50,000------ sporting world today is just one big expensive joke, everything and everybody is just a tram ticket number.
Even a second division soccer player commands a thirty million transfer fee and a hundred thousand weekly wages --------oh yes, don't forget his agent------he's onto a couple of million just to get him to the table.

Poorlie Paw is now a Purple Poorlie Paw--------the Brotwurst fingers are down to respectable chipolatta size.
was woken just before five am by a two year old using my tummy as a trampoline-----"Jaaaaaaack"-----is it time to get up ? Like it or not------your day has just begun,!
Managed three houses of slow goings on in the shop--------I've had more time to actually measure and mark up, something I never do------usually barge straight in and hope for the best.

Thursday again--------is that the second or third one this week-------it's always bloody Thursday .
Drove the trusty Lexus for the first time in two weeks, poorlie purple Paw must be on the up------finally chucked the sling away-------people kept hoping I would "Get well soon"------was beginning to get well pissed at Well wishing people !
Bought an eight foot garden bench seat------price I paid would not have paid for a box of brass screws.
Seems everyone's buying chinky throw away stuff these days-----nobody wants quality stuff anymore.
Still have the teak garden seat I made 25 years ago.
