    Tyre pump?
Hyd pump? plant boys use them for pushing/pulling track pins, final drive shafts etc.

No gauge showing though, carry handle and lack of fixing holes in the bed plate says portable...but we stopped using 240V for portable lumps years
    ago.

There is a couple of labels on the housing what they say??

I'll be glad when Jilly bans you from that tip......China needs all the iron it can get to build tanks and subs you realise you are upsetting east/west balance! lol..

Don't matter what I say or do, somebody somewhere gets upset at what I do. If I keep schtum, they think I'm sulking. So if I were you Phill, I wouldn't worry, 'Cos frankly my dear I don't give a flying fart about much in particular anyway.
Must be about now Rich posts the OFF 2017 programme--------just to let you know , I won't be attending that one. Lady of the house has organised a Caribbean cruise lasting two weeks at the start of November .
Dont mind making a few trophies, but someone else will have to organise the Zellwood golf tourney. Sorry about that. I always enjoyed the comaraderie that went with the event, in spite of the crap food the Italian restaurant served up last time!
Beavered away at the trophy all day, it's all but finished, just need to make the start clock a bit more prominent --------probably solve the problem in bed tonight, that's when I get most things sorted.

Never did get any props from the RC guy-------need to find some in a hurry, twenty three needed urgently---------I got twelve "Concepts". featuring prop less race boats including a triple and several twin engined rigs.
May have to bite the bullet and buy some, but that comes hard to someone as "Thrifty" as me !
    $500 + takes a lot of swallowing.

Told you I got most things sorted just before I drop off !
Clocks a bit bland------needs the ten seconds segments a bit more aggressive-------maybe red lines with a black pointer--------give it a bit more "urgency" .
Jilly is off up country to visit her grandkids and a commemorative dinner tonight for Ivan. I have to stay here and keep my eye on Murphy and Lizzie-------clean up the shop, it's like the bottom of a baby's pram again. Carpets in a workshop are all very well , but difficult to keep clean and tidy, maybe I'm just getting lazy in my dotage !
See what the recycling facility has to offer this morning. Price of lead has gone through the roof, the new reactor at Hinckley Point needs about a zillion tons to line the thing.
Bought a pair of huge alloy cantilevered landing gear brackets---------must go fifty pounds apiece, enough alloy in it to make a space ship-----I'll post a piccie of em then you'll know what I'm on about!

Suddenly thought the current concept should have a box to keep it in !
The FONDA trophy was a weird concoction------Parkinson commissioned a famous face to sculpt what was probably the most hideous boat trophy ever--------was told on good authority it cost in the region of £25,000------- was always kept in a box.
Parkinson still has it in his collection of all things Mercury orientated-------he still has red blazers and silver and black race jackets from the seventies.
Jilly showed me my K7 Gold Star I won in Windermere in 72. I thought I'd lost it years ago------turns out it lives in her Jewellery box on the dressing table.
Should get the box and the concept finished tomorrow-------Her Majesty is away for the weekend so I was in the shop until 6:30pm------not bad for a saturdays work!

Thereby hangs a tale Bob---------World championships in Italy-------Bentz and Billy versus Renato !
It was generally accepted that OMC And Mercury would only compete in the OZ series with single engines-----------but OMC decided to bend the rules as they had been whipped soundly( for Yeats).
Fujimo will probably fill you in with the full story------renato went home with his tail between his legs.

Did any other manufacturer go to the trouble of covering the sponsons like Molinari used to do when lifting out?

Props were covered for obvious reasons, but they are a quick fix compared to a sponson redesign...

Yes Phill, most boat builders were full of secret sh-t -------most of it was a publicity stunt------the more that's hidden , the more you want to know why. If you don't have anything new, cover up the old stuff and pretend.
Whats the obvious reasons for covering a prop ? Unless it's got eleventeen blades-----not one in fifty drivers knew what to look for in a prop anyway ! It was either two, three or four blades-----end of ! What's to know about props anyway ? They're still basically the same as when Pontious was a pilot, and what's good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander--------it's those damn DAMN "MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES. AGAIN

The Bentz And Billy stitch up of Renato was like an NCIS episode-------plotted and carried out like a surgeon doing a triple by-pass-----precision perfect !
Molinari had built a boat that was horrendously quick but a stone bitch on tight corners,
He was also conned into jumping the start gun by Bentz and docked a lap-----in heat two he somehow managed to clout a turn buoy and was also docked a lap------GG was masterminding the whole thing, so it was a no contest in the end.
Surprised Fuji hasn't come up with all the answers on this one------made exciting biting for Mercury for many years----certainly in the annals of European boat racing folklore.
Heard many years later that if it had been in the USA it would have made top news--------but Europe could have been Jupiter or Mars as far as the USA boating press were concerned !

You can derail us any day Greg, happy to have you on "Tricks" thread, it's open to anyone interested in boats. The Glastron/ Carlson tie up was interesting in as much as the stuff they turned out was always a tad different to the normal run of the mill stuff.
Used to be a character called Bob Hammond in charge at the time------ I always had a lot of time for him.
Boating has produced some real Characters in its time, wonder how many of you remember Bob Glenn from EP. Barrus ? He was in charge of the Jonrude set up in England. Think he was Canadian by birth, had a most gorgeous wife Pippa and kept the Mariner flag flying high back in the day.

I remember Bob Glenn, he would borrow a boat from me at Mercury whenever he was in Oshkosh.

I believe even though they had CCC decals they were looper engines on that twin rig.
