Jackie: This looks like the unit that was in Waukegan Engineering. The black carbs and steering arm are not original. Its an older model with the 2 pc crank, die cast fly wheel and 15/17 gear case. Now where did you get these pictures?????

I'm wrong. Looking more closely it appears this is one of the 4 with the 4 pc crank. Whoever can look at the actual unit can tell me if the end on the crank has a plastic plug/cap on it I can be sure.

I relook again and blew it up. I might have been right the first time. Someone tell me does the flywheel end of the crank have 2 nuts or 1 nut and a plastic cap? If I remember right this unit doesn't have a starter motor and would turn over; locked up. It also doesn't have the primer system of later units. Jackie: Am I correct that this unit might be in Fl with a certain relative of yours?

Good morning Johnno-------finally, I got your full and undivided attention---------they don't call you " Rojo" for nothing.
Was sent all these pictures yesterday with the question "HOW MANY OF THESE MOTORS WERE MADE_______AND HOW MANY ARE STILL LEFT IN EXISTENCE .? and finally the $64,000 question.
Could this motor be made competitive in today's F1 series ?
Not sure if the UIM would allow it to upset the apple cart yet again, some forty years on-------the OZ CLASS is still there to be raced, but they do call the unlimited tunnels F1. Which is complete nonsense since it never had a "FORMULA" in the first place!

Recipiant of this particular piece of hardware is a very well known and respected builder of quick motors-------just need to clear that's it's ok for me to get this conversation out in the open!
I have always disliked what Sirois used to call "SECRET SH-T", all it ever does is turn friends into enemies.
I have a feeling you will know this man Johnno-------

    More later ? J.

Jackie:It might be better to have the individual call me (912-314-9479) if they are serious. I have a couple of connections that may be of help.

Jackie:I believe there are 5 still in existence. 2 are in a private collection in Conn; 2 are still at BRP;1 in Wis and 1 in Canada; and this one. There was another exhaust manifold, but I expect it got scraped. I also know where the show and tell model of the bucket, shroud and gearcase is. That's it. All the rest of the parts were cannibalized or scraped. You got to remember that was 44 years ago. The one in the picture has the 2 pc crank with the long thru bolt that had a habit of breaking and had rotor bearing issues. Most of these issues have been solved with newer technology, but the one you got would be nice for exhibition runs, but not racing. NOW, if you got a ton of money I know where and how an updated engine could be made chasing 500 HP. I don't know the availability of race gearcases.

Morning peoples from downtown Stuart in sunny florida!
Right, first things first-------promise to get back to you later in the day or SAP Johnno.

As I was just passing Tavares on Saturday morning, thought I might call in and say hi to a few folks at the Spring meeting. First person I see is Raynor Blair with the beautiful Buck Thornton Seebold. He's got that thing singing a nice song!
Next up was Rich Luhrs and Doreen-----Chris Boyd came up and said hi, but never did get to see Ted.
Had a very pleasant lunch with Tim Seebold-------known. Him most of his ire, so it's hard to think of him as "retired"
believe it or not, we talked about ROTORIES,
If any of you out there are familiar with a lad named Guy Martin-------look out for the next program-----he's racing the NORTON ROTORY. THAT should be fun.

Jackie has many tons of money. He has more money than the Trumps, Rothschilds and Rockefellers combined. He has more money falling out of his pockets than a dog has fleas. His newly founded concept business has taken off at lightning speed. He has buyers from across the world lined up and willing to spend exorbitant amounts of cash in hopes of being the next owner of a Wilson Limited Edition Concept.

With that in mind, I cannot think of anyone on the planet that would be more honored to be the proud owner of a Rotary outboard than Jackie. His loyalty and dedication to the Rotary engines cannot be matched.

Just thought I would get a head start on April Fools Day...

I suspect that this will get me a one way ticket to the "naughty step."
