Tricks that old racers get up to after retirement

Introduced the two boys to one of my oldest friends---------Chris Kringle-----some of you may have come across him from time to time !

Well, thats it, my last day in the usa before i head off home, back to my beloved Jilly,
Been a memorable trip, got to see a bunch of my old friends, went down memory lane more times than was good for me. Reality of all this is only what i already knew-------i lived in the best time to go boat racing, Friends i made then, are the friends i got today, their kids are my kids friends, The Seebolds, Curtis, Spaldings, a bond only made possible through racing!

Thats the whole of the USA side of the Wilson clan. Four generations, the blow ins and Chris Kringle himself---- Dont think the two boys could quite believe Santa and me go back a long way. But its like i told em , Grandpa Jack has a wheelbarrow full of surprises !

Anyone see Bobby Ridgell at Tavares? It's not him I missed, it was the nice young lady that accompanied him last time he came.
Done all my last minute buying of all the stuff I didn't need in the first place!
Flights not until 10 pm tonight Wednesday, Norwegianair have brand fire new "Dreamliners"-----think they call em wide bodied ? I suppose ten across would constitute "WIDE".
Enjoyed my stay with Mark and the rest of the clan, the trip to key west was memorable but best forgotten, the trip to Tavares is where old friends meet, hope I make it again but what the hell, I had a great innings already.

Jackie: So glad I got to see you and Mark last week. It has been a long time. I will always remember the s--t you have given me over the years. It has made me a better person. I look forward to next year.

Had a good nights sleep-------opened the shop doors for a couple hours-------will take a while to get back on the life ride---------feel all wore out, need some down time.!
Pushed a little too hard this time, I feel another huge adventure about to start -------Jilly got the wanderlust--------been in this place five years, time to move on, bugger it, just when I was getting ready to retire, sit back and take things easy, we's about to hop on that damn helter skelter once again! Looks like Jilly, Murph an me are on the move!

Sh-t has hit the fan with F1 yet again--------seems that the government has taken unkindly to the fact that F1 made Umpteen billion clear profit, paid massive dividends to shareholders yet still managed to pay only five million in tax----------a rate of around three per cent. As you can imagine, this has pissed someone in high places right off---------they want four hundred mill in back tax. Now it's not exactly rocket science to imagine that the new colonial owners will fall over backwards to sate the governments demands.
Should be a "VERY INTERESTING" race this Sunday ------Its all happening.
