Now we we are entering the world of wacky, mad motors-------you ever seen the gear case on any of these way out outboard concepts Fuji?------I'm into fernergling a mixed up crazy concept of "Something"----- but i'll be BUGGERED if I know how it'll turn out. Should have it somewhere near the "chuck it into the shed" stage by the weekend. Will decide then, whether or not, to put it with all the other Tavares bound bits?

Spent a couple of hours going through the Brit Version of the Classic Boat Magazines------makes for fascinating reading--------amazed by how much I remember about the post war classics. My old friend Chas Shooter still had a couple of Albatross / Climax engined boats, and a Delta /Ford at the time he popped his clogs, a stack of "BP" motors and props------he was always an ardent hoarder of all things nautical .
Got another full day in the shop today, if I make progress, I'll post you some piccies later in the day.

Finally, somebody got some use out of the damn pool-------Betty and grandma Jilly enjoying an afternoon swim along with Kate and Lucas------Ivan's wife and son.
Costs are running at around $50 per dip, per person up to now, so I'm hoping for a last minute rush in the next couple of weeks before the kids are back in school.

Just invested in a brand fire new, all singing and dancing WI FI printer-----anyone interested in tho old HP office jet thing--------low mileage, less than ten years old, come and collect it, am told it's not worth even penny washers------that's from a homeless dude who only wants it for a pillow! But, today I'm feeling benevolent !!!

What do know-------it's bloody Thursday again tomorrow --------must be the second one this week already--------at this rate I should pass Gene as the oldest old fart in the club, sometime in the next five years, which is rushing along like an express train.

Knew it was too good to last-----second time in the pool always brings the rain.
Thursday again, could have sworn we had one of those yesterday------car boot calling-----what else would I do on a Thursday anyway!
looked in some of the other threads on S&F, great pictures, love the 60/s lake X stuff, always wondered why we never upped sticks and moved across the pond,-----probably would not have let me in anyway, wasn't all that desirable in those days. Nothing's changed, just got wiser!
Ever notice that when you start winning, you get the suspicions, must be bent, can't be legal, what's he done-------few can accept the fact, there are winners, and there are losers, ability is hardly ever given the credit it deserves.
Off treasure hunting-------talk to you later!

GB still got a full head of steam-----going great guns-------couple of Yorkshire kids ran away with the triathlon ------this time they won gold and silver.
Gold in the sailing, we still got the boxers to go-------second only to the USA -------
Bet China and Russia will be glad when it's all over. Not doing too bad for a country supposed to be down and out eh ?

Made steady progress today, but as usual, I keep changing my mind on both concepts, replacing stuff that doesn't come up to muster.
Plus, I bought a stack of gear at the car boot. A superb bench grinder (Swiss scintilla) runs near silent, it hums ! Both stones run 99 % true. Brilliant.

Booked my tickets for the Off Dinner/presentation evening, this is a limited edition do, so don't leave it too long booking your seats or you'll wind up disappointed, with only yourself to blame, simply because you didn't get off you're arse and book it.
Wi FI printers up and running-----can now send phoggies straight from my iPad -----clever or what?
Cameras out of battery, so the whole things turned to worms anyway. Roll on tomorrow!

Here it comes again--------rain,----bucket fulls of the stuff--------still, I have been in shorts for over a month now, which has to be something of a record.

Old Usain Bolt is something else isn't he------he doesn't just run, he glides to the finish line, one of the all time great runners.
Maybe Mo Farrah will be right up there with him one day.
Also the Brownlee brothers---------they breed some tough kids up in Yorkshire !

Its felt good good to be British these last two weeks, and yes, I do walk down he street with a spring in my step and a smile on my face and a heart full of pride for my country's effort at the 2016 olympics----bloody well done Great Britain !

Exactly...!! It is like putting a Subaru motor in a Jaguar

You shamed me into putting a straight six on the Raveau's bum Bob-----nothing else will suffice-----that with a quickie box underneath for good measure.
I kept it in bare wood with a socking heavy old mount-------it really does look the Bizz!
Had a great morning, filling in all the cogs and belts on the V8 hybrid, half way through and it's beginning to take shape------should look quite spectacular if I get it right.

Had to knock off work at lunchtime, to do a family Bar-B-Q. My sister Ange and a couple of nieces came for lunch -----course, it pissed down all day-------who else would do a Barbie in the rain------buttered corn, king prawns, fillet steak, chicken kebabs in coreander and a rack of ribs-------a veritable feast, cooked in the rain ------what more can you ask for ?
Foraging at the facility tomorrow-------need a couple of electronic bits for the hybrid concept------there's a mountain of computers and parts to choose from, show you a piccy over the weekend.

Struck gold at the scrapyard--------a cornet, two trumpets, a trombone by Boosey and Hawkes, guy walks in, puts em on the scales---------, gets $20 scrap value--------I gave $25 for all four.

Totally dismantled the kooky outboard, was unhappy about a couple of things, one thing led to another, now it's a pile of bits again---------somedays you eat bear-------been one of the "other" days..

    There you have it!
    1st USA
    2nd Team GB
    3rd China
Not bad from a country that's down and out. You know, the one the scaremongers said would never be great again-------the one that couldn't wipe it's nose without help from the EU!
Simply went out and beat EVERY other country in the EU-----and Russia-------and China-----Boy, did the sceptics get it wrong.
Monday again already, this ride of life gains momentum continuously, never slows, so enjoy the ride, take in all the sights, sounds and smells, sit back and saviour -------you may never pass this way again!
Had a steady sort of Sunday ----prepared the log store ready for the delivery of the winters supply of logs, due today. Did the Sunday crossword, started the rebuild on the Hybrid Outboard, added the telemetry ( a first for me), cobbled up the wicked exhaust system, and still managed to keep most of the stainless fixings well hidden.
Should be able to post a "Progress" piccie later in the week.

Hey, Benny, up there in Vancouver ---------remember you got me a ride in that rather rapid Verado, strapped onto a very small boat ( well it seemed very small to me )------- it turned like those Aussie shallow water jets with the big blown motors,
You got any piccies of that little mother-------nobody believes me when I tell them that rig would run over 90!

Solid day in the shop. Logs were delivered crack-o-sparrow------stacked 'em up for an hour or so before her who shall be obeyed saw what I was up to and was told to stop------like right now, guess she was a tad pissed at me------whole body ached for a month after last years efforts., so I'm not allowed to stack wood anymore !
Finished the telemetry and exhaust system-------still have to tidy up the plug leads and injection layout, eight pipes ----two collection boxes with a pair of megaphones was one whole working day!

Well tech team--------took the H1 V8 and did my version of a "concept" using a bit of imagination and some artists licence!
Dont ask me why I do it-------just because I can I suppose------must confess, it don't look three bad up to now-------added telemetry and a pair of cooling fans------- I just updated it a tad!
I got a few "CONCEPTS" headed for the USA next month------- most of them are for the OFF auction in Tavares -------the H1 V8 will be in there--------bidding starts at $100----- Go for it!

    Jackie:
Tech Team lives in England so I doubt he will be bidding on it. Besides, he is a Rotary expert extraordinaire!
    Cheers, Rotary John
