But you would buy her a refrigerator, which is what they looked like. And she would love it...

Nearly time to start packing up all the stuff out of the shed into the trunk for Tavares ----took far too long to get there last year, so I'm packing it up early.
Trunkful of trophies and concepts cost over a thousand dollars last year to send------hoping I've found a lot better deal this year!
Jackie !!! Must be some kind of a record set here. You sent this yesterday and it's at my house at 3:30pm Eastern Time the next day. How is that possible????? Our damn US postal system can't sell you a stamp in that length of time. It was delivered by DHL here in the states. Good news is that the box and contents were in perfect condition. I've got a call in a few minutes, but after that I'll post a picture of my Miss Windy "LUMP" sitt'n on the real Miss Windy - blower motor and all. You hit this one out of the ball park! Thanks so much.....

Well that's a bloody big relief Roger------wasn't sure you'd like it, afraid you might want your cash back, and I already spent it.
That was damn rapid though-----collected around eleven In The morning -----you have it Thursday, couldn't have got there much quicker myself--------total shipping cost was ----£20-30. ------Puey was over four times that. ITPOST, what a result.

Thats the the big old V8 outboard "Concept"-----------next up is the V8 "COSWORTH" concept. Finally found the tube I wanted for the injectors-----that stuffs rare as hens teeth to find .
Next two are of the big Raveau with a "Cooking" V8 outboard, in my opine, the all metal job looks a whole lot better than the wood version. Won't chuck the elm version just yet-----might come in at a later date.
Lilabner and Oligator are still battling it out on the bench-----keep shoving Butch through the hoop and then Jim-----left 'em so they can race each other------give a helping hand now and again------just like playing soldiers !
Was rent day again today, for the third time this week ( seems like it anyway)wandered off to the boot sale, same old sh-t,----different day-------except--------I found a set of thread cutters for wood -----half, three quarter, and one inch,, had to pay an arm and a leg for them, but what the hell, I've been looking for a full set for five years, so I had to buy 'em. I may not have another five left in me.

Clean up day in the shop tomorrow-----lunch up country with the kitchen goddess and her brother David. Have to think of another "Concept" between now and then ------running fresh out of ideas.
Grand daughter Kate wants a turtle for the garden-----how feckin exciting is that? Trouble is,I love the little bugger to bits ---so ill come up with something.

That might have been true then but now they are smaller and lighter than what you can buy new?
More people should buy them to help the price of oil go back up
    Dreaming of an Etec v8
I notice nobody talks about fuel consumption when talking 350 400 Mercs???

Man walks into Jack Barclays Rolls Royce Showroom in Mayfair, London --------kicks the tyres on the Silver Ghost and says to the salesman------"how many miles do you get to the gallon"?
Salesman looks him in the eye and says,-------"Sir, if you need to ask that question, you don't need a Rolls Royce!"
Same principle applies today Pilgrim------if your worried about fuel consumption ----------buy a 13' Boston with a 10hp Jap lump stuck on its bum------die rich-----but happy ?

Looks just like an old Rude V8. To me that some bright spark played around with------the old ones were reported to be running over 400 HP, so it shouldn't be beyond the wit of man to pull another 20/30 HP from it without really trying---------100 HP per litre isn't particularly mind boggling these days,

Watched a movie on TV last night------was called "KINGS AND QUEENS OF MOONLIGHT BAY"
After a while, I thought to myself, I know that skyline, bugger me, it's Havasu------but fifty years ago!
I swear blind the point where the cabin was, is right on the point where the scorers used to set up shop--------the right hander where Joe Fielder stuffed his Glastron Molinari
Scotti won a lakeside plot of land amongst his many trophies for winning Havasu, he offered it to me for $500--------another of the many lost opportunities in my life.
