Fred Oram always drove for Park Furnishing------I think that was Fred's own business-------only drivers I know that drove for Toshiba, were Renato and -------bugger, I forgot !!!
1974 ? I thought the V6 Merc motors were out by then ?
Wags that I remember, didn't look like that !!

Suns up, little Betty stayed overnight, all's well with the world-------getting through a rake of stuff in the shop------haven't fallen out with anyone for over a week now----guess I must be mellowing!

Tory leaders finally saw the light-------make it a one horse race------get shut of the other contender-----result ------stability, pound strengthens against all currencies , Footsie rises, common sense takes over-------who knows, maybe we're not out of the woods, but we found the footpath------it may lead to "Recovery" road, AND, we are in charge of our own destiny and free of the E.U. shackles------we got our FREEDOM back. I voted to stay in------but I could have got it wrong. AGAIN.

Finally finished the T8X----well for today anyway------
Mercury have never had a decent emblem-------"Bearded Black Max" -----the Ugly Bastard-----was possibly the worst emblem in the history of corporate advertising ? ( fire away, I got my Kevlar vest on)----------
The best always involves elegance and ladies--------take Miss Mercedes the "FLYING LADY"------Rolls Royce emblem since about 1912-------- still the most coveted car badge of all time.
Always said the Merc admen needed some ginger up the rectum!

Can anyone identify the boat and motor to the left ??..................Phill.

Tried to to get just one piccie to look about right--------failed miserably.
Must say I like the "shortie" mid section, and the gear case came out good.

Thats the last outboard motor concept------will have one last crack at the cosworth, then move on to something different-------- I'm pig sick of alloy filings and I'm fresh out of coarse green cutting discs-----so it's time to move on!.

Grandma Jill, ( The Kitchen Goddess ) with Elizabeth--Fleure----Hope-----Stevens.

Far too big a mouthful-------she's plain old Betty to me! And just a tad beautiful---just like her grandma?

Have to disagree with you on that one Gary--------Mercury sold a lot of big outboards DESPITE the bad advertising!
Is there ANYTHING you would really want to own from today's Mercury marketing catalogue------ie:buckle, t shirt, cap, hat ?,.

Todays graphics on the motors lack "oomph and class"

I think they look at eastern products ----then the Jonroods------where have all the creative admen gone--------McDonalds ? Walmart ?

Some time ago whilst foraging in the scrapyard, I came across a very interesting chunk of alloy. Knew it would come in handy one day!
it suits the FABERGE egg beautifully,
Methinks twould make a perfect "nearest the pin prize" for the ladies---------you don't see many of those lurking around clubhouses these days

Was looking through the "COSWORTH DFV" book last night--------it's by Haynes, has lots of pictures and detail drawings, So I decided, that's the next concept-------- I did a couple of loose cosworths some time ago, but thought I could do better if I tried a bit harder.
It still won't be a scale or working model------ but with a bit of look and a steady hand, sharp tools and a lot of optimism-----maybe something good will come out of it.

Our new prime minister was sworn in today--------swept out all the old, well nearly all-----made Balmy Boris foreign secretary------just hedging her bets in case the colonials vote for Dopey Donald------the two of them will get on famously ----- "THE JOHNSON AND TRUMP SHOW".
Plumb Crazy Putin is planning WW111 -------all we got going for us is the 21st century version of "Abbot and Costello"-------boy are we ever smart-------what's the betting Teresa appoints a whole hockey team of close encouncillors (proper females, in skirts and blouses-----none of your herin today and himmen tomorrow )

Cannot believe it's been four years since the last olympics, yet here it comes again ? Do you realise, we could have put another man on the moon for what it's cost to put all those billionaire athletes in one place! I heard a couple of golfers declined to appear in Rio-----how dare they ? Lynch the bugger's and have done with it.
Im tired and I want to go to bed-----think I heard that somewhere ! Night all, MYGGWY .J.
