    Possibly a V-16??

    Love the wide whitewalls---

    Yes,-----yes-----and no. ,!!!!!! Phill.
never realised the Bluebird museum was at the Car Museum!
There are world record breakers there------both on water and land
Electric world beaters-----piston engined cars and boats-----turbines. ( BLOW JOBS )
Even the mock up boat Mark drove for Anthony Hopkins in the film "ACROSS THE LAKE"
Trip to the museum should be top of the wish list for petrol heads and boataholics alike!
Great selection of motor cycles, bikes, pedal cars and model cars!
Spent a very enjoyable morning there.

Yes..Yes and No what does that mean? sounds like a knock back at the Top Rank back in the 60's......

The one on the edge of Coniston has the genuine bits of D.C's tin and will one day will house the rebuilt K7

The other one has a good selection of chariots and artefacts including the replicas used in the TV dramatizations of D.C's & his Father's antics.

I enjoyed both venues and would recommend both or either to anyone who has an interest in wheels or hulls..

Windermere also has its own Motor Boat Museum located on the edge of err...
    Lake Windermere!

I am not a tour guide nor do I have shares in any business I have mentioned.....I do however like Boats, Cars and engines....Phill

And a happy Fourth of July to you too Dave.
Isnt it great that every nation has its own national day-----regardless------that's how it should be.
Im very proud to be British -------and I don't doubt for one minute you're proud to be American .
i have my own views on religion which I keep to myself. Would not dream of trying to change your view to mine, I believe that's freedom of choice.
There are people in this world who believe "their way" is the only way, I don't go along with that------it doesn't mean I'm looking for a fight-----sometimes you can't do right whichever way you turn.

    End of today's sermon !

Phill, didn't think I needed to explicate to you ?

Yes, yes, and no, is the answer to thread 4323-----you asked.

Think long and hard and I'm sure you'll get there------eventually ?

Ran out of battery on my camera before I reached the Campbell museum-------somebody gave me a smart phone to use--------found the camera on it and clicked away to my hearts content-------have not got a clue how to download the damn thing.
Heading for Shropshire-----east of Wales today, back home to civilisation tomorrow -------one of my younger great grand kids will show me how to get piccies out of the camera I'm sure!

Al Capone's bulletproof, armour plated, supercharged Buick-------I have no idea how it comes to be in the Windermere museum------apparently it was clocked at 114 mph, not too shabby for a three ton sit up and beg type vehicle ?

It probably was a V16 Gene------I was merely overcome be the size and sheer enormity of the beast!
Seats 8 passengers in comfort. So it couldn't really be called a "family car" unless you come from Louisiana or Tennessee I suppose ?
I thought the 1927 Johannesburg Fire Engine was right up your street-----wooden spoke wheels and all.

Talked with Mark last night------said Craig beat the boat to death-----transoms hanging out, backs broken------decks parted company with the hull, engine mounts wore out ------steering shot to pieces.
Almost beyond repair--------cheaper to build a new boat.
He told Craig he was hard on the boat------Craig said-----with only five laps you can't afford to be gentle!

It appears that your "Independence" day is going to be June 23rd (Brexit) and it does not look like it is going to be anything to celebrate. This morning on the news it stated that Nigel Farage had resigned. I think that he is planning to get out of the country before the lynch mobs string him up. I have tried to find any benefit of the UK leaving the EU and I am just not seeing it. Everything the common man was promised appears to be based on bad information.

    Not quite like that Bob,
we will be able to enforce our own laws that have stood us in good stead for hundreds of years instead of Brussels calling the shots------did you know we could not imprison terrorist, rapists and killers unless Brussels said it was ok to do so.
We had no say in who could enter our country-----arrest an immigrant and he screamed not fair!
Health service is crippled with vagrants from all over the hog market demanding free benefits, housing, cars and smart phones. Angela Merkel told us who we had to let in----we had to obey or get fined.

Any one who has a boat can fish our waters, right up to the beach, anywhere in Britain, that's unless your a British fisherman---------then you can't fish home waters or catch what you want------you are given a quota-----catch more, you have to throw it back.

Do you really think the worlds money will be taken out of London -----nobody else is capable of handling it.

Through wars, pestilence , plagues and unrest, Somehow England always manages to bounce back stronger than before!

Jackie - Thanks for your insight. The information that you brought up are things that we never hear over here "across the pond." That makes me question why I even bother to watch the news.
