Some me of the Windows I cut from the broken IKEA chair, imagine, I got nearly forty Windows from that chair, and I only just started on the back. One of the reasons I never chuck anything away, most things have a value, even humans.
Noah did things two by two, I seem to do things in threes.
Feel like I got "Towers" coming outa my ears----two down and one to go.
Need a bigger storage shed, it's busting at the seams, either that or I have a fire or garage sale afore long.
Maybe if I lock it up, and let the trees grow over it for a hundred years, some bright spark in 2116 and think it's treasureful.
First day proper of the Tavares meeting, would imagine Lassie and his cavalcade have reached their destination, he's never been backward in coming forward with plenty of piccies.
Get the "Kodak" out Lassie, start snapping.

Made the fences and fitted 'em to the last towere.
Just have to do a simplistic spiral staircase, then I'm outa those towers. ,!!
Next up are the ARNESONS and trim tabs for Marks boat.
Should be "Easy-Peasy" but Bugger all is these days, if it can be made difficult without really trying, I'm you man!

Saturday again already, great day to be alive, then I suppose every day is a great to be alive day!
Hey, Gene, I'm so glad you made the spring meeting, mines a CC7 !
Rich, you going to do your big presentation tonight, if you are, take a bunch of piccies for me.
Looks like it's a good turnout, wish I was there with you, I will be in spirit.
Remember, "NOBODY DOES IT QUITE LIKE AN OLD FART".
Maybe there should be a an R V competition, ie: longest distance travelled, longest owned, best kept, best loved, most wore out, ugliest, would make Tavares more interesting still.
Roger, did you get MISS WINDY up there? Damn good place to sell her I would have thought!
Saw somewhere Kay Marshall and Mick reckon their coming to the fall meeting, must be nigh on thirty years since I've seen them.
Sheets are hanging this morning, but it's a bright sunshiny day and the "Metal Recycling Facility" beckons, so it's time for my weekly forage. Let you know if I hit pay-dirt.
Keep safe, all those out on the water, enjoy yourselves, I'll be thinking of you all weekend, J.

Had four of our nieghbours round for dinner last night. Jilly did "Teriyaki " baked salmon fillets with mint , chillier and ginger sauce. Went down well with the six bottles of wine quaffed along with a Graham's port.
Was in no fit state to thump out emails last night------soon as head hit pillow, WHAM, Screaming Yellow Zonkers.
Had a couple of major finds at the scrapyard, tell you about that later.
Kitchen Goddess decreed conservatoire must be cleared of all man made debris by fourteen hundred hours-------that included the Cosworth and Marks boat.
Swear blind the walls on the shed are bowing outwards, it was full before today -----my golf clubs died and fell to the floor-----God only knows what's going to occur if I keep producing stuff !
Seen a few piccies of Tavares on Facebook, but I don't get there much----why don't somebody post some piccies on the OFF site ?

Remember the tatty old black rose bowl I gave a staggering £4 for? Underneath the 200 years of crud, I found an absolutely stunning piece of kit.
This was made around the time Custer was trying for West Point. England was big in India and we were trying to colonise Australia .
This will be another for the ladies to aim for at the fall OFF golf tourney.

Went down to the shed with the three towers, found a dead body down there in the shape of my golf bag with a set of Calaways , must have passed away sometime last week-----nobody noticed.
Tavares must be all over till the fall, I'm really looking forward to that one, catch up with a bunch of my old friends and shoot the breeze for a few days!
Spent the rest of the day clearing up the workshop, emptied the bins, sold a couple of band saws and various other tools-------need to downsize and get the bender sold so I can move without tripping over things.
Don't know why I've fallen into this "New Broom" mode.
England are top of the heap in the Six Nations, Scotland duffed up the French, England put down the Welch uprising. All we have to do is thump the French to get the Grand Slam.
That's me gone for the night, MYGGWY,.J.

Sorry Jackie, but frankly there weren't enough attendees to present much of anything to at the dinner.........
There is a world of difference between the Spring and Fall events....same amount of boats, but far less attendees in the OFF category. This is not to say that there weren't a bunch of grey heads, but most were of the inboard hydro persuasion....
I had a meeting with Brownie and Charlie McCarthy, the week before in Fort Lauderdale on another matter. Sadly, neither one made the trip upstate....
Gene Lanham did make the trip to see the unveiling of his old Switzer Wing, newly restored by Ted Boyd. We, Roger Hinsdale, Dick Knarich, and I, put him in the passenger seat of Miss Diablo so he could see his Old "Red Bird" running for the first time in about 40 years... close up. He promised to come back in November...and , hopefully, he will be in the Red Bird one more time.... He got soaked but seemed to enjoy himself... There were a few Old Timers on the outboard side and fewer from Offshore.... so the trophy waits until you return....
It also was not the time to auction off the other items....for the same reasons.Last edited by T2x; 03-15-2016 at 02:16 PM.
20 Foot Switzer Wing 2 X S3000 (Dust'n the Wind II)
!6 foot Wood Eltro Vee (2X Merc 1500's) (Dust'n the Wind IV)
15 foot Powercat 15C (2 X Merc 1500) (Dust'n the Wind III)
(Single engine boats are lacking something)
15’ Wooden Switzer Shooting Star...
16 foot Lee Craft Merc S 3000-(Gold Dust II)
(The exception proves the rule)
Obsolete and Proud of it

This is is the place where "Concepts" go to die-----the shed at the bottom of the garden.
Might have to build another shed alongside.
Chicken and egg situation here, shed costs $2,500--------but if I sell all the stuff, I don't need another shed.
Seen a ton of piccies from Tavares on Facebook ------none at all on S &F, what's the matter with you guys------this ole site does not have the pox I'll have you know.
Made a mock up of the back end of Marks boat------trim tabs-----ARNESONS, ----Exhausts, props , have to scale it down a tad, but I'm getting there.
Nice and easy, slow sort of a day, did a bit, ate a bit, slept a bit, then went back and did a bit more.
Its that time of night again----La--La land time------God Bless, MYGGWY.j.

Glad to see Gene got a ride in a wing------just for a moment I thought he had gotten behind the wheel of REDBIRD AND TAKEN IT FOR A RIDE.?
If Mark ever gets the Cosworth up and running, I would like to take it for a spin, how fast is anyone's guess.
The cost of getting these boats fit for running on the water is so horrendous these days, that to do more than an exhibition run would be foolish in the extreme.
Would love to sit in that old girl and wind it up a little though, just to hear that "Yowl" that starts around eight five.
Cockpit was always a little tight even when I was around 145 lbs------now I'm some 30 lbs heavier, I wonder if I could even get in there.
Still, that's all speculation and cuckoo land at the minute, just have to wait and see.
Glad I'll get to see you present the CBA trophy after all Rich, looking forward to it immensely.

Just as I started this mornings gleanings, S&F decided to to close for maintenance, so it was down to them you got sweet Bugger all today.
Wasnt ever happy with the concept of Marks boat so I carved another out of a chunk of 9 X 3, lovely grain in the timber, so I just polished it instead of painting .
Made it wider and deeper---------now the trailer doesn't fit-----life can be a stone bitch.
A bit nadjered today--------just a tad off colour-------so it's a wrap.!!! MYGGWY.J.

Thursday again, by the cringe, that week beetled off into the long distance in a hurry.
Car boot day at Ford, see if I can find any treasure to make more stuff for the garden shed.
Loads of piccies coming out from Tavares------a lot of well known faces turned up, but a lot more never made it.
Have to try and make the fall meeting a success------will make sure the golf tournament is the best one yet.
Wont be for lack of trophies, I got a rake of those in the workshop cupboard. Will post a piccie or two in the next couple of weeks of progress so far.
Weather here is more settled with the odd sunshiny day now and again. We have a few trips planned, France----Italy-----a cruise, starting with a trip to Florida and ending with a second trip in November.
See how I get on today with what life is going to chuck at me, think I batted well considering what was thrown up earlier this week-----Sei-la-vie. (That's life)
