so may plans are as follows Im convincent theres just to much set back, so Im going to start from scratch, which I should have probally done from day one, but I had faith in the way Tuff boat set it up, Im not saying it is wrong but it is wrong for our application, so next week the boat will go in for surgery, Im going with side mount steering, even though the Seastar hc6345 was a big improvent, top motor mount will get installed, and ill go to 12" of hydraulic setback,I NEED TO ADJUST HEIGHT ON THE FLY, ITS THE ONLY WAY just not sure which one but I am learning towards Bobs because if P22 cant break it I surely wont Im MR FLATS, than Raybo will install all the lifting hardware for the davits 20Lbs of stuff, and he will install a shelve so we can move the battery up front, and whatever else we my deam necessary, and hopefully maybe a test or 2 before the snow sets in

You must be reading my mind I ran the boat again today and than had another person with a lot of set of time run it and we both came up with the same number independent of each other and came up with the same conclusion and I agree bobs is it

I did mine with a 6 inch box than the jack cause I feel the box has no movement. Its just like extension of transom and a 6" jack is less likely to break than a 10". Now I have broke 10" rapid jack so the thought is less leverage and strain in the movable plate harder to break. At least that's what I think.

You really have to take a look at the new extreme jackplate . It's much thicker and much sturdy then the standard jack. When I ordered my bob's said I was their first order. I must say I'm suprised how well it holds up, it's just like an extension of the boat
