This is my last response to you. You keep sounding like a highschool bully. So you run your boat on those deadliest catch type days out there? I should have known better then to think these things would be familiar to you. I am not saying that the great lakes are rougher than the atlantic.... But I am saying that across the street from my house gets too rough for you, me and all your heroes that are "liking" your posts. First you said I was a dreamer... then you said you did not... Then you said my boats speeds were fast, Then you said they were not. That's called talking in circles. Here is some interesting video and some light reading for you. I would imagine that the great lakes are covered in your public school board's grade nine geography curriculum. And like I said before... I don't care about impressing you, nobody even knows who you are.

Always has to be the mouthpiece to go and eff up a perfectly good thread. For a guy with 32 posts on the biggest forum in the world for performance boats that "everyone knows" you sure make yourself sound foolish. Your spelling, grammar, and attitude are consistent with an 18-year-old pimple faced dork. "Dude if u look thru the post there are some pretty well known guys liking my post." Really? Ok I guess they will all run to your defense than about your expertise and driving experience as you must be the man, "Dude".
Anyhow Dirk I have followed your post from page one and good for you for spending the money to try something different. It's what moves the sport/hobby forward, not hanging on to old technology and rebuilding every 100 hours (if that). And thank you for sharing all of your info re. weight/props/set-up etc. Most won't thinking they are some kind of genius and will have one-up on everyone else.

I trying, I hope in the end it all comes together, theres no hand book with this stuff, especially with the G1, I have gotten a lot of opinions all of which I took under consideration, and where all ment to help and I appriciate that, Im not a motor builder or a rigger, but having a lot of the boats I know what direction I should go, but at the end of the day its trial and error, the blue tuff is going 94 because its set up on its tippy toes, If i boated on that lake I would follow suit as far as set up, but here with the conditions i boat, its just not going to work, Im not a rough water boater, meaning lets go run in the ocean, i have nothing to prove, and I dont like breaking things, i think at the end of the day this tuff with the g1 will go 90 everyday, and thats pretty respectful for any 21.....if I put an x on it there would have been no learning curve for me, I could have done that blindfolded.... right now the 3 biggest varibles are prop how much weight I put in the nose, and set back im trying not to add weight but redistribute whats there... but thanks for following and I hope this build helps others
and wicked he does make a valid point, maybe after a couple of thousand posts people would realize that your here to help, we are not the only hi perf guys in the world, there are so many places where people boat that get nasty, those lakes can be brutal, and trust me I have learned so many things from these guys, the experts around here are not the end all in hi perf, meaning long island ,trust me Ive seen them do a lot of things that were wrong, but when you really analyze the limitations of a 21 22" sob, rough water for these boats can only result in broken boats, broken backs, and broken feelings21 Tuff, Mercury 300X
