the boat ran 87 mph, Im not making any excuses but I know theres 5 mph in a prop, and with a little less set back, there maybe a couple, and with some cool air it may be worth 1 or 2mph so mid 90's is reasonable, by the way I cant thank GM 250 enough, heres another guy who I never met and has gone out of his way to help me, some guys are just made of good stuff, and then well Ill let that go... Thanks Greg

Dirk, I asked mark about the blue boat. It is stock layup, so
    the speed is there. Just
    need to find it.

really I remember it saying carbon fiber infused written on the side, but thats great news, yes its just a matter of props and setback at this point, but I will give up speed to tame it down, the orginal set up was not for our type of boating,

How high have you got the motor now? Is the blowout problem solved? What rpm is it turning the 30pro ET?

Make sure the inside of your cowl is not wet after a long/hard run.

Very high humidity here today and probably will stick around till early next week with that TS on its way up the coast, Weather is good for 2-3 mph

Put that Bravo on and see if that makes any difference.

sunday be fore everyone showed up, I raised the motor about 1" from where it was plenty of water pressure, but the ass end went right when I started leaning on, no spin out but lowered it , it wasent a good day to be putting on the edge, but I will try again this week,

Did you have to block the "side" water inlets on the M2 case in order to keep the water pressure up at this height ?

That is interesting. If you have more than enough pressure and are still above 13psi with the lower part of the plastic side water inlet screens still left open, I would think there is more good news in your future and the stock case can still go up a little more.

I can't imagine why anybody would ever want to buy one of these BRP's..... But the one up North here has now run 94mph with one. With a highschool kid driving it.

Because of a 7 year warranty.... And when all said and done I think it will b running around the same speed as it would with a 300xs. If you go with a x for the big numbers your rebuilding it every other year, Or it's popping. Not to mention its way better on gas and oil. You must have some deep pockets huh? Lol. Or just dreaming like 90% of the people on here. My question is why wouldn't you want a etec?

    wicked
you make great points, u may dont know this but I have owned 5 x's in the past so I know what it takes to keep them healthy, so wheather its reeds, belts, water in the gear case, alternater brackets, 92 octain, @ 25 gallons an hour, and a ton oil 2 cycle oil, those are some of the reasons why at least for me BPR was a choice, we all know the x is a beast, but beastiality has a price
