Gotcha, also my biggest gripe with hydraulic: wheel wander.

Dirk I have that wheel in the yellow boat. I took the teleflex dual blinker and used that for the jackplate and all 3 are used for the trim on the wheel. Just giving u another option

he dosent have a website but the name of the company is Ct Marine Products, Montclair, Ca., 909 0513 when I get ill post pictures but I have had one in 2 or 3 of my other boats, he uses the military style toggle switches wich are water proof

That is always the caveat when taking out a designed stress relief. Something has to absorb it somewhere.
