Gotcha guys on the speedo hole. Pretty simple plastic bag fix for the side inlets you found Baja200. Should be interesting to see the speed differences. Gotta be worth 4mph.

I have run a fleetmaster on the front holes and as soon as the motor is high enough water pressure drops due to the side pickups being bone dry. Oh, and with no nosecone they run great to 89. at 90 they blow out and almost chucked my buddy out of his mirage.
When you take a close look at the funky BRP Mag2 lower unit it's interesting to see how high the 6 factory water inlet holes sit on the nose of the case to begin with. It makes me wonder if someone running a notched transom hull (with between 12" and 18" of setback) could carefully tap and close the very top 2 inlet holes and get the same or better water pressure running the remaining 4 on the M2. Seeing the threads in the top 2 holes would affect warranty though I suspect.

I moved the low water pickup holes to the bottom of the bullet like a sporty and ran this lower to 104 with no nose cone but the case was very high. It would have went faster but I was on the rev limiter with a 2000hour 200HO

Like this, the pickups actually are lower then a bobs come if you do it correctly. I don't know if he tuff will carry the bow with themotor as high as I had it.

That doesnt look to bad at all. Other than the covering on the upper holes. haha You could plug those up nice and {Smooth} with some danaglas then paint white and look factory..

The sides shape its self looks good I think! It looks like it would carry well.

That was a pic of a guy I helped do the mods it wasn't finished when he took the pic. Mine looked factory and I filled in the side water pickups and shot the whole motor with brp white. I did it like 4 yrs ago so i can't find any good pics. Here's mine from a few boats ago

I was thinking the same thing. Would Dirks ETEC 300 below with the dual side water inlets (plugged with totally removable BajaBags) allow the 100% factory stock M2 lower unit to be moved up so high that it will cause it to blow out above 90mph. The M2 case has to be kept bone stock to keep the 7 year factory warranty. I'm not even sure that adding an epoxy torque tab would be allowed.
