Got six hours steady toil in today. All on a frigging two masted sail boat. I must be nuts.
Must confess, I'm seriously thinking of just doing four hours in the morning and having some thinking time in the afternoons.
At the moment the only thinking time I get is the ten minutes between playing with my iPad and dropping off to sleep.
Off to the funeral of my son in laws dad tomorrow, been friends with him for over thirty years, it'll be a sad occasion .
He had been suffering for about four years and did not have much quality of life as they say, he was younger than me but got there slowly and laboriously-----he never once got on the merry go round?

My wrists feel like they've been broken and splinted back together again, a ten month lay off from playing golf and then a full round is asking a bit much of the old frame ! I didn't even get my " "power nap" that day.

Think you got good value for money today, time for me to Quit, goodnight peeps, MYGGWY.J.

Most days I can't wait to jump in the shower, breakfast and then get into the shop.
Today I don't feel a bit like that, melancholy, subdued, bit like the bounce has gone out of the ball!
Have to drag my feet out from under the sheets, get into a different mind set, lose the lethargy, funerals are part of life, nobody likes them, but one has to show a bit of respect for folk you know, like, or are even part of your life. Would be thoughtless to ignore these tasks.
Jilly feels she can't face this trip, so she is taking Matt up to see Ivan today, try and get a bit of sanity out of an insane world.
Wont be a lot said on this thread today, just glad I have a bunch of friends I can lean on at S&F!j.

Called it a day, funerals at 2pm and I can't go in my work clothes. See you.

Did a nice long soliloquy but it's disappeared into cyber space and I can't be arsed to rewrite the damn thing all over again.
I was hacked and whacked on Facebook, my grand daughter Casey called me Tuesday night and told me to shut both the iMac and the iPad down, she said she would be down as soon as she had taken the boys to school?
After two hours she finally found the little **** who caused all the bother------he was working out of Bejing.
Apparently once they have accessed your account, they follow all the eBay transactions and if you have a PayPal account they can empty your current bank balance in minutes.
Anyway, she deleted the bogus account, threw a whoopsie at the perpetrators and cleaned up my iPad for good measure.
Moral of this tale is, do not mess with my grandkids, piss them off at your peril,
Five kids, eleven grandkids, and ten great grandkids, now that's a formidable force to be reckoned with?

Said the final farewell to Brian. Not a bad send off, looked around at the forty odd folk gathered. At the Chichester crematorium and thought that's not many people for an 82 year old to accumulate in his lifetime!
Then realized most of his old friends must be long since dead and buried, there were certainly
a few walking sticks, zimmers, hearing aids and white hair.
He was never a very adventurous chap, was the manager of the Victoria Wine Shop in Woking for over thirty years, had two kids and a caravan, didn't exactly court danger except to tow the caravan to the coast on a bank holiday.
I liked him but we weren't bosom buddies-----probably saw him three times a year, but he was my son in laws dad.
Another page turned over in the last chapter of the book of life!

Sh-t happens when your having fun-----cant remember if i told you or not but my left wrist has swollen to ridiculous proportions, its like somebody plugged in a bicycle pump and blew it up tp ten pounds PSI. Throbbed quite a bit but was just bearable until 3 am this morning, couldn't stand it any longer, woke her who was sleeping soundly next to me, drove to St. Richards hospital, they have 24 hour A&E, after about an hour, saw a young kid who said he was a doctor, that was bollocks!!!! Diagnosed the swelling as GOUT------knew at that point he was no doctor. He prescribed anti inflammatory pills, its 9am and i still have only the use of one hand!!!!!!!typing takes forever, but I'm not going anywhere, been banned from the workshop for the duration. You could get a shed load of gleanings today-----well tough titty mateys, some days you eat bear!!!!!
Grand daughter Casey is a clever little biddy with a computer ------ she decided i needed my own website to flog my "Cobblings" and set about creating said item. She is a whizz with the kodak and took about fifty shots as a start. Like it or not, I'm posting some of my stuff , as photographed by CASE. Tell me what you think [ PLEASE ].

Think Case may Be a tad more professional than me at "Phoggie taking"
first is the titchy wing. I tried real hard with that one, one of my better efforts!
Second is the yachtie made from a busted IKEA chair and a glass ashtray.

Got lots more to show if anyone's interested-----what you got to lose?

Sideways pictures must run in the family. Why is it you I-Pad users can't post pictures right side up?

    Well, there went Thursday, RENTDAY.
I usually do the car boot sale on Thursday, but after being up half the night and only one handed decided to give it a miss.

Today they buried Lord Montague, the hearse was a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost (1909 vintage).
Now he had been a bit of a lad in his day? was a bit of a playboy, got into a bit of a bind with two call girls-----Christeen Keeler and Mandy Rice Davies, one hell of a scandal.
He also had a motor museum at Beulie , one of the best in the world.

Southampton boat show opens today for ten days.

Then there's the Goodwood Revival, good days to stay home this weekend. Been two spitfires buzzing round the skies all afternoon. Great stuff!

Ron, I can't even get pictures upright on the net let alone follow the Goodwood Revival.
I don't even walk down the lane let alone take the car out when there's an event at Goodwood!
Then there's the Isle of Wight festival with half the crazy people in the world passing through the village to get there.

Our beloved moggy "Murphy" has now been missing for five days, never thought I would miss a bloody pussy cat like this, she has left a big big hole, and of course Jilly is devastated..

    Life goes on!!
