ok I want you guys to to see how deep the gear case is I ran 35lbs of water pressure, I know , but I had to start somewhere,
so first pass numbers with Ghost in the boat, all due respect, its like having another etec on board that dosent work, 6 blade Herring 15x33 non vented, 30 gallons of fuel no back seat
3000 rpm 50mph
4400 rpm 70 mph
5000 rpm 80.5 mph
so i dump him and make 2 passes alone
5000 rpm 82.5
great prop if you want to go on a long trip......
ok now for what I always say props are a black art, I put the 30 4 blade et style I forgot who made it but not a merc et, remember the guy that said I was waisting my time?
first pass 89.3, now today was windy and choppy outside of Tannor Park Mickey Large can testify to that, the pass was with very little trim and let me tell you the boat likes trim and likes set back, I just couldnt stay in it, it was so windy I was going sideways, Im smart enough to know that I need to ease into this boat, Im going to put a hydraulic set back so I can get the big number, but I also want to be able to bury it on days like today, the other option Im going to toy with, is a ballast tank, this will be the 6th 21 that I have owned, I have never felt a more solid boat, and I know this boat is very light, when I can launch a boat over a 17' boston whaler wake, I know I have a light one under my seat.
Today was not a good testing day outside of temp and humidity
to some up my expectations I think the boat will be a true 95 ish boat, if I get lucky and nail the right prop faster..... Yes I will buy a go pro this week I know video,21 Tuff, Mercury 300X

Well done! 5% slip that herring is tighter then most 34+p! That's right on what my buddy's herring slips at its on a 130mph Etec 6k is 120mph
There's a ton of speed left I really want to see a pic and video of it hanging out.
Whos the hater that said your wasting your time??Last edited by baja200merk; 09-05-2015 at 03:43 PM.

its got nose inlets like the merc, thats the point when I get that gear case out of the water it will be a different boat, but like i said on days like today I want the option to bury it, and i cant believe Im thinking about ballest, never in my life would I think I would be saying that, now Im hunting for a pump that pulls and pushes, I wonder if that exsist.....

Fill the tank with the engines water pump use exhaust water its gonna be 130* water but who cares. It Would be easy to plumb it and keep the warranty. Drain it with gravity, no drag from another pickup, no pump, no wiring.
i bet it's ten gals a min over 2500 rpm

Nice 1st run numbers Dirk ! Your boat has a 'flat' pad so it should like a straighter motor angle and more setback to do the lifting would seem natural.
