ok since its ok the boat was ringed with that blinker thiga ma jig, by seastar, the problem is at the higher speeds you really have to stretch your hand off the wheel Im used to having both hands on the wheel in the proverbial death grip if you know what I mean, as soon as i get ill post picks, it they really work well, I normally seperate the buttons 1 for the jack plate and 2 for trim

i think with the seastar the blinkers work good because the wheel has a tendency to go off center? With trim buttons if your hands are at 3 and 9 the buttons might be far enough away to have to let go of the wheel if this happens with yours? i know with my setup there at my finger tips not far away at all. maybe my wheel is a flatter design and not as deep perhaps? That might make the blinker style further away. With Laytham {sp} design external setup the wheel changing position might not be a problem for the button type? i made this clip to demonstrate the wheel movements for balancing the hull for a new Allison driver. i just watched it and notice i let go of the wheel lots to trim like you said actually. But notice how the wheel is upside down or moves position. Thats what i mean about button placement over blinker.

thats exactly whats happening great video, but your right about button position the CtR style never in the same position, what Im also concerned with is how fragle there are, im concerned i might put to much pressure on it and snap it.

the company that ive used in the past is Ct Marine products there in California just great stuff hard wired just like the Seastar
is that a bottle of Perrier and a fishing pole next to you? love it !

One option for a jackplate for you is. I havent used one but it looks bullet proof I hear good things from bass boat guys using them and they are self contained

I own one and wouldn't run a boat like this without one. I keep all 3 buttons for trim and put a seperate switch or your blinker for the jack since you don't use it as much. I also put non skid on the down side so I know 100% which way I'm trimming.
