Tipsy Turvy sort of day, was in the shop by just gone eight. Decided to crack on with the real Mcoy project and dump the prototype. Picked out a 6x4 twenty year old chunk of Oak and drew a few lines on it------fired up the band saw. By noon I had the basic shape, LAND, SEA, AND AIR is the theme-------has to be spot on or it'll miss by a mile. No pictures 'till next week at the earliest.
Making this simple, just using Oak, Mahogany and stainless-----with a bit of imagination.
Afternoon turned to sh-t when I heard about Kimmy. There's not a lot more that can be chucked at us------the arsenal has to be damn near empty but, we're still standing!!
Just need a bit of think time, so you won't get much "Rabbiting " tonight MYGGWY.J.

Ipad been on the blink for a week or so, took it to my neighbour Dave who just happens to be a Mac geek, took him a couple of hours to fix the device, but it would appear to be up running and in fine fettle. Friday we in the lane get connected to "INFIINITY", the new all singing and dancing internet connection-------it ought to be good, they upped the cost from $30 a month to $ 75. No bloody wonder the company can afford the million plus salaries for the " lower paid" execs
Mark leaves for the Miami Boat Show today, stays down there for four days, one of only two he attends. Reckons he gets enough business to keep him in " Starbucks " for the year!

    Jackie,

I trust your daughter is doing well, whereas the gall bladder can be removed easily, the heart situation is more serious. I hope everything is OK

John, I wish it was as simple as that --------Kimmy believes in all things natural, herbal medicines etc, won't be driven, strong willed, mind of her own--------- three boys and an ex, lives on her own and likes it that way.
i wouldn't mind if she was an ugly mare, but she's drop dead gorgeous both inside and out, somehow I just have to guide her through this.
Thanks for your good wishes John.

Still have to pay Murdoch arm and a leg if you want to get onto his SKY cable deal,
Cannot be arsed to play games on the Internet, bad enough that I can get into deep ka-ka just commenting on S&F.

Forgotton we were going to "THE STAG"at Balls Cross for lunch, taking one of Jills lifelong friends who has been hospitalised for a while. Don't mind really, it's a proper olde english pub, log fire, beer on tap and a great friendly atmosphere-------afraid I pigged out on ham and eggs, peas and fries, could only manage four of the six slices of home cured ham.
They don't have "doggie bags" in there, you have to wrap any leftovers in your napkin and sneak it out.
Managed a ten minute nap then hit the shop for an hour, reasonable progress, getting the required results, it's beginning to look like what I want, think y'all might be a tad impressed with this one.
Never really got into the prototype, don't like working softwood-------alloy has its place in the bike shed, but it's not as serious as stainless to me.
Tomorrow is Thursday and the car boot sale at Ford Airfield, thought I may just take a forage for an hour or so and see what sort of treasures I can unearth.

Was one of those non-exciting days yesterday-----IT came and went and I got on with the business, found myself fast asleep and had forgotten about S&F! Tough Titty, but I'm here now.
Today is the big day for BT to install its new internet system "INFIINITY ",20 times faster than. BROADBAND.Heard it all before, tell you if it's worth paying all the extra lolly for, the advertising campaign cost 30 million.
Had a good day in the shop yesterday----today Jilly is spending the day with her daughter at Brighton hospital where she is having her first child, ( the daughter). That means I shall get a full day in the shop.
Wind and heavy rain forecast for today, frankly my dears "I don't give a damn".
Might give you a shout lunchtime if all goes well! J.

Some things in life are just more fun than they should be. For instance getting a cancerous kidney and ureter removed, with a bonus hernia repair. Yes, I did do that his last Monday. Spent a few days not even knowing where I was. Finally got home today (Saturday) with no pain at all. What these Docs do today is amazing. It looks like they got out all of the bad stuff. They took biopsies from good wide margins and some lymph node along the way. Everything looked and clean but will not have final biopsy repots until next Thursday or Friday. So it looks like "Old Farts" will just have to put up with me for another while. Also, when I got home today, the first thing I did was to s**t in my pants. Sleep tonight ought to be rather interesting for Iris. Saw Rich's annual posting today ref the passing of my Brother Bill in 1997. Rich, you always leave a good warm feeling in my heart. I could not thank you enough for that. And to all of you "OOFs" out there that I have been blessed to know, I am thinking good thoughts of you and your Families. Even as we all get older and pass slowly over that "Final Finish Lines" never forget that life is good. Even though this is my third scrape with cancer, we feel great and honored to have been your friends. - Steve & Iris Sirois

Took these BT "GENIUSES " two FRICKIN days to install the new line -------just like all idiots, take the perfectly good line and chop it up-------then and only then do they install the new "INFIINITY "
Had a little hiccup when it didn't work the first, second , third, ninth, tenth, eleventeenth,-----after two days of round the clock working------probably on double time, plus unsociable hours, plus after teatime, plus overtime, oh and it chucked it down so that's worth another $2,000 per hour.
I always said I wanna be a doctor or a vet or a lawyer, but, Im coming back in the next life as a BT Internet installer.
Had no connection for two days, so sorry for not contacting you, just when you didn't need me.

Glad your back with us and up and running Stavros, sounds like you were really dragged backwards kicking and screaming to the body shop,-------they gave you a full service and are good to go!!
With all my heart my friend I wish you well, for my own part, just being me, let's put it this way, I can't afford to lose you, you have too many questions to answer on the lake x files yet!

I never told anyone this before-------but while playing golf with Billy and Lynne at their favourite home golf club- SAWGRASS ----I never made it to the bog on time-------crapped everywhere including my pants, FIRST, LAST and ONLY time I managed that.

Made big inroads into the project, well satisfied with the progress so far, have to be a lot further down the line before I post pictures.
