This is is first couple of piccies of the offshore concept-------not supposed to be like anything else-----how could it be with a single nuclear power plant and Gyro stability------OK, so it's got twin hulls and six steps------all that proves is, it's not an aircraft carrier.
Its early days yet, I've changed things a dozen times already and we're not even half way-----knocked off at 4PM totally shagged out. Wouldn't earn much of a living even if I was gainfully employed. Enjoyed the day though.
Got a clear run for the rest of the week, no appointments or scheduled interruptions
What is it they say about a motor running it's absolute best just before it blows up?

Anyway let me tell you a little about the "THE THANG"
sponsons out of French oak, cockpit is Bar-B-QUE acacia, power plant is Holly, aero foils and deck are stainless.
Reason for this-----I'm using all the old bits of stuff I've accumulated over the years.
No, it's not ideal, you need to polish oak for fifty years before you get anything like a finish. The holly still has bird music coming out of it will probably split from asshole to breakfast time. The Acacia is dead as a door nail and heavy as lead, so it should polish OK.
Not to worry, I'll make SOMETHING out of the mess-----Bye-bye time, MYGGWY .J.

I'd be surprised if it ran at all Rich, the lump of Holly goes all of six pound without the stainless kerfuffle------but I'm happy you like something about it-------you already have one of my bits of nonsense you won down at an earlier OFF meeting in Jupiter.

Panic stations in parliament -----penny has finally dropped among politicians that it just might be prudent to keep Scotland in the Union and madman Salmond just be more than a right pain in the posterior.
It's time the hoi poloi got off cloud seventy two and a half and started to look at what's going on at home, instead of rushing all over the world thinking they can solve the rest of the worlds problems, which of course they haven't got a cat in hells chance of achieving .
Due to visit the distilleries of Scotland in two weeks time, wonder if I need body armour or just cancel the trip ?
Stonking, beautiful day, no wind, cloudless blue sky, one of those good to be alive days, must get out there and smell the roses whilst the weather holds. Enjoy the day my friends, I know I will.J.

Perhaps a Rotary will give it the power it needs to run properly

Not going for it Bob, It's dead and buried a long time ago, let it rest, it earned it's place in history, time to let go.
Cracked on and finished the propulsion unit-----pictures tonight, Andy Warhol woulda been proud.
Still got 3 hours to poke in before I'm through for the day.

Tell you what Bob, managed a full day,(for me, six hours), staggered indoors nursing a chronic backache and fell onto a super sized C C 7 most gratefully. Got the main partof "THE THANG"
completed, took a few piccies which I will post later----drinky poo time now.

Lost all the text I had written about the piccies, I blame S&F, and it has not reappeared with a "Restore" message, blast their hides, I got better things to do than write the same message over and over, just as stupid as watching a film over again, the question begs, why the Hell would you ?
Damned if I can remember what I said----was probably rubbish anyways
.gave it all another coat of beeswax, but it will need another six before it gets any sort of Patina!

Not a lot to report so I guess you need a little Johnny tale to tittilate the taste buds, here goes!!!

monday morning class teacher says to class
What do you need at home?
elli may jumps up and says, a new computer miss!
teacher replies, yes, that would help !
mary Ellen throws her arm up and says, how 'bout a new 60" TV miss?
teacher says, yes, that would help ! Sees little Johnny with his head in his hands shaking his head, so she say to him, Johnny what do you need in the house?
    he mumbled. NUTHIN,
Teach says Nothing Johnny, how can you be so sure?
Johnny stands up in the front of the class and says,----MY SISTER BROUGHT HOME HER MUSLIM BOYFRIEND AND I HEARD DAD SAY THATS THE LAST FECKIN THING WE NEED IN THE HOUSE.

    SLEEP TIGHT MYGGWY . J.

Promise that's the last time I suffer one of my old jokes on you, (well, for some time anyway), I only do it to fill up a space, I know it's not in the true spirit of boating and all that, but it's the way I tell 'em.
was in the shop crack-o-sparrow so naturally things moved along quite quickly-----well into the tail fin and aero foil maybe give you the odd peek, that's if anyone's interested.

Tough call, family has money and he's white, S/A never did have the fairest judicial system in the world anyways----chop his middle leg off----give him a starter of ten.
If I was the girls father I'd be waiting with an elephant gun and plead mitigating circumstances, if his lucks out, he could get three months -----suspended.

He's got off with murder-------manslaughter, ??? he has to be guilty, nobody can question that one, has to have a custodial or South Africa becomes a laughing stock.
Conundrum is, 12 months -------12 years???-------community service or suspended??
Like You said, well heeled, white but with a black judge.
Problem here is the old one------not only has justice to be done-----but has to be SEEN to be done, South Africa is in the world spotlight, no place to hide, this decision will have world wide repercussions -----that poor old judge is onto a hiding to nothing-----wonder if she'll still be in a job next week?

Helicopters buzzing like flies over the house today----press day at THE GOODWOOD REVIVAL -----it all kicks off tomorrow----quarter of a million peeps expected over the next three days, good weekend to stay home.
Every vintage, veteran and race car in Europe will be on show, some of the exhibits are worth millions. Dress code is anything from Victorian to Edwardian, and the grand ball is sold out years in advance.
Jilly works Thursdays in St Winifrids Hospice charity shop in Barnham, they have a shop full of vintage clothes that are for sale at reasonable prices-----today she had American ladies buying shoes, hats, handbags and dresses all ready for the ball.
My daughter Sam even joined the golf club, she reckons it's world class.
Its also home to the most beautiful racecourse in the world--"Glorious Goodwood"
Also has one of the oldest car racing circuits----"Goodwood"
Add to that it's own Airfield and one of the largest collections of modern art in the world, THE CASS FOUNDATION and don't forget the fine dining at the Richmond Arms and the Kennels.
You can tell the place ain't too shabby.
If your wondering where all the show-biz, sportsman, film stars, jockeys, entrepreneurs, race car drivers, and your next door neighbours are, look no further than Goodwood this weekend.
Will talk boats tomorrow, that's enough to keep you going 'till then. Say goodnight to the sandman, MYGGWY .J.
