Yeah well it's Saturday again, after Thursdays fiasco with the credit card, decided to do the weekend car boot sale.
Crack-a-sparrer I'm off like a long dog---trouble is, it's chucking it down, don't know about the colonials, but folk from the mother country get downright mis arsed. When they have to don rainwear. About half the normal turnout, but it makes for forraging a whole lot easier, and it's all over bar the shouting around 10 am.
Picked up a really nice De-Walt jig saw that I bought for a tenner, albeit with a fault to the electrics which I am confident I can fix fairly easy.
An unopened case of brand new rifler files and a dozen cutters for the lathe for another £2.
On the way out, saw a see through plastic carrier with a rake of farmyard animals and farm buildings with half a dozen tractors thrown in for good measure, bid a fiver and it was mine.
Charlie ( one of my eight great grand kids) will be well chuffed with those. Lunch coming up, I'll get back to you later-------it's qualifying for the British GP today.

Hamilton blew it again,------it's bloody near time he got his act together, if he wants to win the worlds then he has to stop farting about and get SERIOUS.
It will have to rain hard tomorrow if he is to stand even half a chance, I see yet another second to the German !!!
workshop is in a shambles-----not touched for over a week-----her indoors has firmly stamped her feet and threatened to hide the key and cease all sexual activity if I attempt to gain entry to the workshop.
You know I am going to listen and obey don't you------ageing ------yes ------stupid, never.
Sunday in Sarasota sounds like fun----should be testing about now----let you know tomorrow how things turn out------hope everyone has a great July the fourth weekend.

Phil, are you out of your mind? The first thing Jilly would say is " there's your airline ticket buster".
I know my place in the peckin order. I pull faces and let off firecrackers now and again, never-never-ever, do I " casually" mention I just might trot off to Thailand . The risks of being found face down in a bowl of cornflakes under mysterious circumstances or being found suffocated on the synagogue steps under a heavy jewess or simply disappearing without trace is just too great.
My great sense of survival says-----stay away from the workshop IDIOT!
Watched the Netherlands V. Costa Rica, thing that struck me most was the olympical quality of Robbens dives------he had to have been a ballerina in an earlier life----outstanding oscar winning performance----- best in the world at trailing the left leg, then reach for the sky, arms aloft and imitate a swallow.
Going out for lunch with another old friend of mine, Nigel Warnes, he built "THE SHARD" europes highest building among other things. Let you know tomorrow night what sort of frollicks we get up to. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. MYGGWY,J.

Its a quiet Sunday here so thought i would post you a couple of piccies of nothing in particular.
That there in the stars is one of WILLABEE'S hot singles.
Thats Murphy !!Bosscat. The plank is Murphs gangway to the bedroom when she gets chased by visiting hounds.
Maybe more interesting things happen later----will keep the signal fire smouldering.

Which one Dave ?
Silverstone starts in five and a half hours----Time now 8.30
Sarasota-----I have no idea-----probably 10---maybe 12 hours.
Sons and grandsons tend to be too busy to talk to the old man, ( until they need something ).
Was out down the lane with the hedge clippers at 7.30 am this morning, ( manual of course, her who demands, will not allow me mechanised assistance) lopping off all the blackberry Tendrils that can grow two feet overnight and scratch the paintwork on any passing car,
leading to strained relations and stressful comments like "GET YER FECKIN HEDGE CUT JACK"
Its stopped raining by the way so unless Hamilton gets his rear in gear it will be a Mercecdes 1/2 with him chasing Herr Rosberg----no rain promised, but that don't mean a thing-----weather " forecasters" get paid big bucks for guessing with a 20% chance of getting it right. My old granny with her length of seaweed tied to a nail by the back door got it more accurate than today's pundits, especially if she called on her arthritic and lumbago aches.
Haven't heard from her lately, maybe she left???

It had to be on one of the hundreds of channels you have over there----even though you only get to see two out of every ten minutes of actual racing .( we interrupt this program while the camera man takes a leak) or Have you been injured in the last thirty days, We can ----------etc,
Missed the actual race, but somebody at the lunch shouted Hamiltons won.
Recorded the event, so not fair to comment before perusal.
Enjoy the last few hours of the July 4th weekend break . Talk tonight.

Took me a while to find the wood yard, 'twas in the middle of a forest in deepest Hampshire not far from Rowlands Castle due north of Portsmouth . Even with sat nav guidance it was hidden better than MI5.
Had a great time forraging through piles of logs and stacks of timber. These boys are true forest management on a rather large country estate. End product is firewood (logs). Searched for a decent burr but didn't strike lucky this time. Did come across a nicely spalted beech log , a piece of which I made into another trophy for the "Off" golf competition . Will post a couple of picks in the next post.
Well, Hamiltons fortunes took a turn for the better, he drove like he was hungry again, anybody's guess as to whether or not he would have taken Herr Rosberg after he suffered his first failure of the season. But I do wish he would take that bloody sparkler that decorates his left ear lobe to the local pop shop.
Looks to me like it's going to be the survival of the least failures in the Mercedes camp----two to hamilton and one to herr Rosberg .
