[QUOTE=jackiewilson;2654908]Yeah well, what can I tell you-----if I'm honest, I think the speed awareness scheme is useful. It needs people like me to assist, and guide and offer help and suggestions, while they haven't got it quite right, it's a big step in the right direction. Was also a saving of £15 and zero points on my licence, so I'm still clean and the insurance company will not be having a field day.
So Phil you can still address me as sir with a capital C!
If you were at Goodwood for the whole time, were you there as a law dog or was it just for fun, security, or what? I thought you were out of being a plod long ago.
Your not alone in wishing me into a stripey suit, I got this far, it ain't gonna happen now.

all the family in Florida are heading for Sarasota come Friday , last race for six weeks I'm told,
at this stage of the season Craig and Gary should have sorted the gremlins OUT OF GEICO , props were sorted long ago . Happy 4th July everyone -----enjoy the break. J.

Phil, it took too much money and effort getting the boat over to the states to think about bringing the Cosworth back to England .
Mark has things lined up together, to start restoration soon. It's a massive undertaking and will cost in excess of $250,000. A fresh built DFV is around $100,000 before we even begin the rebuild.
We are torn between leaving the paintwork exactly as is and a refresh. Both Mark and I are leaning towards keeping it totally original.
Would be tempting to slide an Ilmor V 10 in there, and a whole lot cheaper, but that would detract from the authenticity of the project.
Besides Rich and a few more stalwarts would not settle for anything less than the original.
Those are just a few of my thoughts (today that is).

Morning Dave, Yes I suppose it will come under KT rules-----just want to see her finished and up and running again.
Can lift the right arm up to waist high already, so there is still room for improvement, and the ache has eased.
Keep thinking about the "Crooked Man who walked the crooked mile"------ain't got time for HUMPETY backs or crooked limbs, so I'll try not to keep falling over and stay upright (in the colloquial sense that is.
Old people who do gymnastics are either bored or misinformed, same as joggers, waste of good efforts, get a life.

MR Fun made some interesting comments in theOFF 2014 column---give yourself a treat and read it.
Tried to get him to switch to "TRICKS" column, then you can all get to commenting on it.
This"ll make you smile, just see if any of you old farts can relate?!?
Remember I told you I had to attend a speed awareness session at the Hilton in Walberton, ok so far. Well, they wanted to see your driving licence on the way in, me being me pulled out my Visa Debit card with a gentle " will this do " -----for a start the lady was not best pleased and the look would have stripped paint. Quickly showed her my best side, big smile, bent close so she got a whiff of my ALLURE SPORT by Dior, For all the good it did I could have farted and would have been treated better? If we fast forward to Thursday morning ----as you mostly know, I trundle to the airfield to the flea market making sure I have a few quid of JUST IN CASE,! Looked in my wallet, lo and behold , the cupboard was bare. Went smartly to the paper shop ( nearest ATM), opened the said wallet only to find ------no debit card!!
Time to phone the Hilton, nobody found anything. It's 7am ' Phone the bank, get put through to Calcutta which is now Mumbia and got put through to this lady who spoke like Peter Sellars in "Brown Windsor"-----simply could not understand her----she asked me if I spoke English, and when I said "yes but you don't) things just went downhill. In the end took a trip to Barclays Littlehampton and was met by a very smart girlie bird who said , "if you had called, we would have sent you a new card". No you wouldn't sez I. That's when the trouble started!!! An hour later, she realized it was a DEBIT card and not a credit card and told me I did right to come into the store and what was my mothers maiden name???? I am a very patient person, mother has been dead nigh on twenty years so what the hell has that got to do with the exchange rate in Bangladesh .
it took most of the morning and I have a sleep lunchtime so that was Thursday down the tube and I never did get to the car boot sale!

good morning Jack, the hull I am referring to is a speed skiff. doing some reading on the subject on various sites pertaining to these hulls I saw a "family tree" of lineage and Burgess I belive was at the top. it's been a couple years since I spotted it and will go back and look again. the mold I have is a Frahs, Terry Frahs lived and built boats here in Jacksonville Fla. In further research I spoke with a fellow from NJ that builds, I belive ,JS (which is the "big daddy") boats named Sked, and said Terry copied a hull he bought from him. So that is the reference to Burgess, as all or most fiberglass skiffs are derived (splashed) from an original built by them. an interesting turn in the history of these craft as they were originated in new jersey and someone from England made an early version from fiberlglass. with that said I will begin reading all the posts in this thread and get cought up as I saw a mention of your KT and that is what truly intreaged me as to your past experience as I have some old models and ideas on those arrangements in the pursuit of this illness I so enjoy. And a good day to you too Keith on this wonderful afternoon , pool temperature just hit 30 C for the first time ever and I have not even switched the boiler on this year. It's swallowing chlorine tablets like Clinton eating jelly beans( or was it Nixon---I forget , anyway they both had addictions)
Saw the Jersey Speed. Skiff for the first time in my life at last years OFF in Tavares---genuine spectator boats as they slap their way round a turn. Problem is -------you gotta have melon size cajones ( and you don't get many of those to the pound these days, and when you do they join the SEALS,,!)
We are all suffering "the disease" to one degree or another----some of us are incurable while others seem to manage it very well with the right treatment------annual trip to Key West----Tavares----Hooters? But we all know "GOLD MEMBERS WITH OVER 5,000 POSTS" don't just walk in off the streets do they Keith------would like a name pilgrim,! Make an old man happy --------.
I could ask Rich or WILLABEE , but they would probably lie, just to piss me off.

Rob, like I told S&F ----there is only ONE me---the only thing wrong is a lack of COMMON SENSE,
frickin. Screaming and a useless member are just categories to put pundits in.

I was doing 70 in a 60 zone --------there were mitigating circumstances------so what -----,guilty as sin -----3points and a £100 or awareness scheme and £85 ------no contest!!!
