Are you surprised? Four strokes will always win… As long as the rule package is written to favor them. Any technology in racing, superior or inferior, will win if it has the rule book on its side.
Same with any technology in non-racing. Two-stroke vs. Four-stroke in recreational boating comes to mind here. Without the regulatory agencies, (the rule book), the recreational outboard market would look very different to what it is right now.

Does the 36 DW have 500s? That quiet a bit faster than the other simular boats that have ran, good for them.

Peter, this is run what you brung, anything goes, let er rip. So no advantage of 4-strokes. All the advantages of lightweight 2-strokes should shine! Except no one is making RELIABLE big 2 stroke power. Trust me, I made my living for decades stretching out 2-strokes. I’m poking fun, but also have helped push the 4-strokes. I own one myself, but could put big 2-stroke power if I chose. I like 4 MPG@60.
They both have their place, and this was an opportunity for the 2-strokes to flex their muscles.A problem is only a problem when viewed as a problem...

Loose is fast, but you don't want to run any more freed up then that pass. All the stars lined up and Kory did a great job keeping us off the markers. Incrediable weekend and couldn't have made it happen without the help of Performance Boat Center and all of our friends that were here for the week--Thanks to all that were involved.
This is our Sunday pass:
Go to the 03:13:00 mark

Dependable, usable, 150 mph outboards are coming soon--Thanks to Mercury Racing for providing continued advancement to our hobby.

Our Canadian boys ran the Tuff 34 with 1100 Merc for a new single engine vee record of 135.
The factory billet outer limits pass was unreal
American Ethanol didn’t disappoint.
And the Parvey’s 43Black Thunder condominium running 166 was amazing
and Dirty duck skater!!!!
What a show2023 TUFF 25
