Was and will be. Kind of a pain in the ass, I might just go to a 12.

I have a 15 and have an HST that I have never run and needs a motor. Do you have any tips to help me with the set up?
Any help is much appreciated...

I did a bunch of work to the bottom of mine so it doesn't need as much setback as most others. The motor won't tilt up a lot without interfering with the transom unless you use a hydraulic plate and raise it all the way up.
As far as set up it entirely depends on how much the boat weighs and the balance point. This hull despises any excessive weight forward of the point of balance.

Any recent updates from the hst owners?
I have mine running well. I got 95mph with a 4blade Hoss and stock mercury 200hp (except for reeds).
Have 10" of setback. So it's not always necessary to have a mile of setback and big HP to get reasonable speeds.

A couple of us have come to the conclusion that is as fast as they will physically go. Bad things happen after that. Goat knows I spent enough and ruined a mountain of parts (and almost the boat) trying. 110-115 they are a great boat...120 eh...and the poo gets real after that. The sumbitches will turn though, that's the most fun.
