I give Mercury credit for its creative marketing that has propelled it to a leading position in the recreational marine industry.
And about that alloy:

I'll give yam left hand full shift boxes and control boxes you could stack, yanks were very slow in that department.
(Not quite true as both omc and merc had them but then dropped them)
And the marketing genius of dropping prop rated engines into a market of crank rated ones.Last edited by powerabout; 05-18-2017 at 05:17 AM.

is that a 15" motor?
-
08-04-2017, 06:27 PM #1003
doubt it,,,, the Excalibur/activator are narrow deep vee boats
I have a 25" set up on my center motor so cowl would not be at water line
so probably a 20" as don't want up higher for the powerhead weight
but that is a stepped hull so could be possible for a 15"
motor looks huge on that 6' wide hull,,,,know it probably camera angleLast edited by johnmiffco; 08-04-2017 at 06:32 PM.
