Is it just me ???? or is America breeding a more particularly stupid breed of Boater ??????? Without exception —every day—- i am shown piccies of happenings at “HAULOVER INLET”——-
Take any boat———-any five engined piece of flash painted carbon fibre craft will do ??????????
Take any idiot [from the looney bin for preference ]———— stick it behind the wheel and send it to HAULOVER INLET !!!!!!!!!!!!! simply because there are always beings there sporting a camera [we call em “the paparazzi” ]- Taught all my kids how to drive a boat before they were out of diapers. ————
Should any single one of them had ever acted as stupidly as anyone at HAULOVER ——then i would have pulled the plug and emptied it.—- just so it could not happen again .
Have these people simply got a death wish ???????????????

Apart from the very few that have been restored by true enthusiasts —-where are all the offshore Race boats of the 1970’s
The high horsepower outboard race is by no means over yet ——-wait until the radials kick in ??????

...most of these boats are not financed. same with most of the personal real estate these days here. they contract to build their next new replacement boat when they take delivery of their new current boat. this takes two years. in the next 10 or 15 years, their old boat will have had multiple owners, completely rerigged each time it changes ownership. now you get an idea of how so many new, large outboards are produced & sold here...
