Put the finishing touches to the “MILES JENNINGS” replica yesterday. Did swop the lowers for a couple of brass ones which when polished do look like burnished gold. Now both look exactly the same, but if I’m honest the copy looks even better than the original due to its almost flawless finish.
Cannot imagine why i got into making twin winged old planes again ——they have to look about right —one flaw and they look all wrong. I’d better stick to boats—- they are very forgiving and nowhere near as fussy.
Especially the all metal type —- nobody wants wood anymore—- had a dealer said he would take all the wood boats but the price offered made me think i would use them in the wood burner !!!!!!!!
Heat wave has finally gone and we are left with balmy above average late summer temperatures -another couple of weeks and autumn will be here .
Need to get me another band saw—this time with a tilting table !!!!!! Way i am cobbling a slope on anything is asking for trouble , just know the damn thing will bite me.

Only went and did it again—tide was out and i had to walk nearly to France before the water covered my privates . But hells teeth i made it out to the deep end !!!!!!!!!
They told me it was “like a bath”—-they feckin lied!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its taken twelve hours for my balls to regain circulation .
Still can’t figure out whether i am very brave or exceedingly foolish. Don’t think i will be doing it again this side of August ‘24.
Did not realise that i was the only person daft enough to create all metal concepts of offshore and circle boats [mono and tunnel] in the world ???????????
Took over twenty with me to Key West last year and sold the lot. Will not be anywhere near that amount this year, been too busy with commissions and wild ideas .
There are some beautiful offshore boats [ scale models ] about — but they are plastic , which means mass produced and down to a price .
Mine are from the heart with mistakes and expensive and no two are ever alike !!!!!!!!
coming up 92 and there will not be many more .
last two sold ,both fetched well over £2,000 sterling apiece —- ????????

Damn, but it is really hard to decide which i like best —French med tomatoes —or the Sicilian that are grown right here in West Sussex . We used to go through six kilos a week, but now its up to 12 [25lbs]. Just give me a cucumber —-and a Sicilian tomato plus the salt shaker and i am happy as Larry.

Jesus Jackie do you go to the beach to have a good time? We’ve got Miami Beach Daytona Beach, Panama City Beach, Destin Pensacola, Saint Pete Beach.! I guarantee you you don’t have to take a marathon walk to get to the water. Why do you think people live in Florida? And by the way you’re complaining about cold water and no circulation and certain areas of your body! At our age lucky to have circulation anywhere! MALIBUSTANG looked so damn good on a mount, i decided to do the same thing to the Bi-Plane and the tunnel,
Do have a hint of interest in the Bi-Plane — and the tunnel is the first of the KEY WEST items. So it’s been a “HEAD DOWN —-ARSE UP” sort of weekend.
Maybe just as well, as Gods been taking a leak all weekend and it’s blowing a hooley anyway —- just dont do sunbathing in this sort of weather.
